Important Safety Notice
Read Carefully Before Beginning Assembly!
- Always use proper tools.
- Follow the assembly steps in order. Do not skip any steps.
- Check all packing materials carefully for small parts that may have come loose. If parts are missing, contact the retailer. DO NOT USE SUBSTITUTE PARTS.
- Periodically check to ensure all connectors (bolts, screws, etc.) are tight.
- Keep instructions for future reference.
- Handle glass or mirrors with extreme care. Never handle large pieces of glass or mirrors alone.
- When assembling products with electric cords, ensure the cord is unplugged before assembly and be careful not to twist the cord.
- Do not stand on lower shelves when assembling upper shelves; use a step ladder.
- Do not stand on tables, as they are not designed to support a person's weight.
- If assembly requires two or more people, do not attempt alone due to risk of injury.

Safety Warnings
For Bunk Bed Use:
- Assembly should be performed by two or more adults. Allow 60 minutes for assembly.
- DO NOT TIGHTEN ANY BOLTS UNTIL ALL BOLTS HAVE BEEN STARTED.
- Replacement parts, including additional guardrails, may be obtained from Ashley Furniture dealers or by calling 1-800-477-2222.
- WARNING LABEL: DO NOT REMOVE!
- MODEL/MFG./DATA LABEL: DO NOT REMOVE!
- DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN UNDER SIX YEARS OF AGE TO USE THE UPPER BUNK.
- ALWAYS USE GUARDRAILS ON BOTH LONG SIDES OF THE UPPER BUNK.
- PROHIBIT HORSEPLAY ON OR UNDER BEDS.
- PROHIBIT MORE THAN ONE PERSON ON THE UPPER BUNK.
- USE THE LADDER FOR ENTERING OR LEAVING THE UPPER BUNK.
- If the bunk bed is placed next to a wall, the guardrail that runs the full length of the bed should be placed against the wall to prevent entrapment between the bed and the wall.
- Follow information on warnings appearing on the upper bunk end structure and on the carton.
- ALWAYS USE THE RECOMMENDED SIZE MATTRESS OR MATTRESS SUPPORT, OR BOTH, TO HELP PREVENT ENTRAPMENT OR FALLS.
- The surface of the mattress must be at least five inches (127mm) below the upper edge of the guardrails.
- Periodically check and ensure that the guardrail, ladder, and other components are in their proper position, free from damage, and that all connectors are tight.
- DO NOT USE SUBSTITUTE PARTS. Contact the manufacturer or dealer for replacement parts.
- The use of a night light may provide added safety for a child using the upper bunk.
- The use of water or sleep flotation mattresses is prohibited.
- STRANGULATION HAZARD: NEVER ATTACH OR HANG ITEMS TO ANY PART OF THE BUNK BED THAT ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR USE WITH THE BED; for example, hooks, belts, and jump ropes.
- PROHIBIT JUMPING ON BEDS.
Mattress Size Requirements:
- Twin Size Mattress: Width between 37-1/2" (952mm) and 38-1/2" (978mm); Length between 74" (1880mm) and 75" (1905mm).
- Full Size Mattress: Width between 53-1/2" (1359mm) and 54-1/2" (1384mm); Length between 74" (1880mm) and 75" (1905mm).
- The mattress must be no thicker than 7" (178mm).

Assembly Steps
Step 1:
- Place part D on a flat surface.
- Attach parts H to part D using bolts R and washers S.
- Attach parts A and B to the assembled D/H structure using bolts Z and washers AC.
- Ensure all bolts are started but not tightened.
Step 2:
- Attach parts J to the sides of the assembled unit from Step 1 using bolts Z and washers AC.
- Attach parts K and L to the top of the unit using bolts Z and washers AC.
- Attach part E to the sides of the unit using bolts T and washers AC.
Step 3:
- Attach the bed slats (part F) to the side rails (part E) using bolts U and washers Y. Ensure slats are evenly spaced.
Step 4:
- Attach the ladder rails (part N) to the side rails (part E) using bolts Z and washers AC.
- Attach the ladder rungs (part P) to the ladder rails (part N) using bolts W and washers Y.
Step 5:
- Attach the second bunk bed frame (parts C and M) to the assembled lower bunk using bolts AB and washers Y.
Step 6:
- Attach the guardrails (parts G) to the upper bunk frame using bolts AA and washers AD.
Step 7:
- Attach the ladder (assembled in Step 4) to the upper bunk frame using bolts M7 x 80mm and M7 x 50mm.
Step 8:
- Attach the remaining bed slats (part F) to the upper bunk frame using bolts U and washers Y.
Step 9:
- Secure all remaining connections using the provided hardware.
Step 10:
- Final check of all bolts and connections to ensure they are tight.
Step 11:
- Note: Always disassemble the bed prior to moving to a new location.
