Installation

Step 1: Connect the Microphone
Connect the USB-C cable to the JLab Talk microphone. Then, connect the USB-A end of the cable to a USB INPUT port on your PC or Mac.

Step 2: Configure Settings
Configure the settings on your PC or Mac to ensure the connection is established successfully.

Step 3: Install Talk with PC / MAC
For PC (Windows 7, 8, or 10):
- From the Start Menu, select Control Panel.
- From Control Panel, select the Sound icon.
- Select the Recording tab and choose "JLab Talk" as the input device.
- Select the Playback tab and choose "JLab Talk" as the output device.
For Mac (macOS 10.10 or HIGHER):
- Open System Preferences and select the Sound icon.
- Select the Input tab and choose "JLab Talk".
- Select the Output tab and choose "JLab Talk".
- From this screen, set the Output volume to your desired level.
Controls
Recording Settings:
Sound On/Off & Recording Mode: Press the button to toggle sound on/off.
Volume/Gain Control: Press to switch between volume or gain adjustment. Rotate the wheel to control the level.

Bottom Connections:
- 3.5MM AUX OUTPUT
- USB-C INPUT

Polar Patterns:
- CARDIOID: Record from the front.
- OMNI: Record all surrounding sound.
- STEREO: Record left & right channels.
- BIDIRECTIONAL: Record front & back channels.

Usage
Optimal Microphone Placement:
For best results, position the microphone directly in front of you, at an optimal distance. Avoid placing it too far away or at an awkward angle.

- Talk works with almost all recording software installed on macOS, Windows, or Linux. Review your software's settings and adjust accordingly.
- No additional drivers or software are needed for Talk. Just plug it in and set it up in your device settings.
- Talk will not function via a power bank/battery pack. It will only function with a USB-A input with an operating system.
