Basic Operation

Power On/Off

Note: The device automatically turns off after 30 minutes of inactivity without a connected device or with a connected device but no music playing.

Battery Status Prompt

In standby mode, double-click the Next button to hear the current battery level. The battery is divided into 4 levels: 100%/80%/50%/30%. When the battery is low, the device will warn you every 15 seconds and automatically shut down after three consecutive warnings.

Battery Charging

Compatible with fast charging (PD 5V/2A, 5V/3A, max 15W). High voltage DP fast charging is not supported. It also supports standard chargers (5V/1A, 5V/2A, 5V/3A) with a maximum charging current of 3A. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.

Reset Function

If the system becomes unresponsive and buttons are not working, you can reset the device by using a small pointed object (e.g., a toothpick) to press the reset button located in the LINE-IN 3.5mm jack. (Refer to the illustration below for location).

Bluetooth Mode

Pairing with Phone

  1. When the BassBucket is powered on, the light will blink blue rapidly, indicating it has entered Bluetooth pairing mode.
  2. On your phone, go to Bluetooth settings and find the device named "BassBucket".
  3. Tap "BassBucket" to connect. The device will announce "Pairing successful" and the light will blink blue slowly, indicating the connection is complete.

Note: If you cannot pair in secondary mode, double-click the light button to return to Bluetooth pairing mode.

Reconnecting Mobile Bluetooth

When Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone, the BassBucket will automatically connect to the last two successfully connected phones.

Clear Bluetooth Pairing History

Press and hold the Next, Previous, and Bas buttons for 3 seconds to clear all Bluetooth pairing history and enter Bluetooth pairing mode simultaneously. The indicator light will blink blue rapidly.

Connecting with 2 Mobile Phones

  1. Connect Mobile Phone A to the BassBucket by following the pairing steps above.
  2. Double-click the BassBucket's power button to enter pairing mode. This will disconnect it from the currently connected Phone A (it remains paired but not connected). Connect Mobile Phone B by following the pairing steps above.
  3. On Phone A's Bluetooth list, find the BassBucket and tap its name to reconnect.
  4. Once both mobile phones are successfully connected, the device will automatically reconnect to both phones upon powering on.

Note: The phone that initiated audio playback first will have priority. If one phone's audio is paused, the BassBucket will automatically switch to playing audio from the other phone.

Sound Mode and Controls

Changing Sound Mode

The default mode is Standard. Double-click the Previous button to switch between Standard mode (emphasizes bass) and Outdoor mode (emphasizes mid and treble sounds).

Note: You can also touch anywhere on the volume button to set the desired volume level.

LED Light Modes

Turning On LED Light Modes

While powered on, click the LED light button to cycle through lighting modes. The sequence includes red, green, blue, and multi-color with fade-in/out effects.

Exiting LED Light Modes

While a light mode is active, press and hold the light button for 3 seconds. The light display will revert to the indicator corresponding to the operating status.

Turning Off LED Lights

Press and hold the Previous button for 3 seconds to turn off the LED lights. Click the light button again to turn them back on.

LINE-IN Mode

When the LINE-IN cable is connected to the BassBucket, it functions as an audio output device with a solid green indicator light. The device automatically switches to LINE-IN mode upon connection. If the LINE-IN cable is disconnected, it automatically switches back to Bluetooth mode.

Sharing Mode

Note: Sharing mode requires more than two BassBucket devices.

When sharing mode is active, one BassBucket device remains connected to the mobile phone (the host). Other BassBucket devices act as secondary units and must disconnect from the phone to enter sharing mode. If a secondary device does not connect to the host within 60 seconds, it will exit sharing mode and return to Bluetooth pairing mode. The host device does not have an automatic exit function and must be manually exited from sharing mode.

Host and Secondary Device Pairing

Step 1:

Diagrams illustrating the pairing process for Device A (with phone connected) and Device B (without phone connected), showing LED indicators and voice prompts.

Step 2: After successful pairing between Device A and Device B, Device A's indicator light will blink blue slowly. Device B will indicate "Slave speaker connected" and its indicator light will blink blue slowly.

Diagrams showing the LED status for connected Device A and Device B, including the voice prompt for the slave connection.

When the host device is in sharing mode and audio is playing, repeat the above steps for other devices. This allows multiple BassBucket devices to play the same audio as the host, enabling 1-to-N audio playback.

Sharing Mode Remarks

If a device powers off in sharing mode, it will default to sharing mode upon the next power-on. The host will indicate "Main speaker mode" (fast green LED), and the secondary will indicate "Slave speaker mode" (fast green LED). The host and secondary devices will automatically reconnect after powering on.

To return to individual Bluetooth pairing mode, double-click the LED button.

Button Control in Sharing Mode

Automatic Reconnection in Sharing Mode

In sharing mode, if the host and secondary devices disconnect due to exceeding effective distance, they will automatically reconnect when they return within range.

Exiting Sharing Mode

In sharing mode, double-click the LED light button on either the host or secondary device to exit sharing mode and return to Bluetooth pairing mode.

Software Update

The BassBucket device can be updated via its USB C port using a dedicated USB C data cable.
