Button Functions
- Touch Volume Button: Swipe forward/backward to increase/decrease volume. Tap anywhere on the touch surface to set the current volume level.
- Power Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the device on or off. A short press controls playback (play/pause music), call management (answer/end call, reject incoming call), and Bluetooth disconnection.
- LED Button: Press to cycle through LED backlight modes (red, green, blue, multicolor).
- "Up" Button: Press to skip to the next song. Press and hold to reset settings or check battery status.
- "Down" Button: Press to skip to the previous song. Press and hold to reset settings.
Basic Operation
Powering On/Off
To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue and a voice prompt announces the current battery level.
To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until you hear the voice prompt "Power off".
The device automatically powers off after 30 minutes of inactivity or if connected but not playing music.
Battery Status
In standby mode, double-press the "Down" button to check the current battery level. Battery levels are indicated as 100%, 80%, 50%, or 30%. Low battery alerts will sound every 15 seconds, and the headset will automatically shut down after three low battery alerts or two consecutive low battery notifications.
Charging
Supports PD fast charging (5V/2A, 5V/3A, max 15W). Standard charging is supported via 5V/1A, 5V/2A, or 5V/3A. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
Reset Function
If the system freezes or buttons become unresponsive, press the 3.5mm audio input jack with a thin, non-metallic object (like a toothpick) to perform a reset.
Bluetooth Mode
Phone Pairing
- With the headset powered on, the indicator flashes blue rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
- On your mobile phone, go to Bluetooth settings and find "BassBucket".
- Tap "BassBucket" to connect. A "Pairing successful" prompt will appear, and the indicator will flash blue slowly.
Pairing can only be performed in Bluetooth mode. Double-press the LED button to return to Bluetooth mode if necessary.
Automatic Reconnection
If your mobile phone's Bluetooth is enabled, the BassBucket will automatically reconnect to the last two paired phones.
Clear Bluetooth Pairing History
Press and hold the "Up" and "Down" buttons for 3 seconds to clear the pairing history and enter pairing mode. The indicator will flash blue rapidly.
Connecting to Two Mobile Phones
- Pair Phone A with the BassBucket as described above.
- Double-press the Power button to enter pairing mode, disconnecting from Phone A (devices remain paired but not connected).
- Pair Phone B with the BassBucket.
- Reconnect to Phone A by selecting it from your phone's Bluetooth device list.
When two phones are connected, the phone actively playing media will have audio priority. If playback pauses on one phone, the BassBucket will automatically switch to the other.
Audio Mode Switching
Double-press the "Up" button to switch between "Standard" mode (default, enhanced bass) and "Outdoor" mode (enhanced mid and high frequencies).
Phone Calls
- Answer/End Call: Press the Power button.
- Reject Incoming Call: Double-press the Power button.
- Disconnect Bluetooth: When connected, double-press the Power button to disconnect from the mobile phone and enter pairing mode.
Music Control
- Play/Pause: Press the Power button.
- Next/Previous Song: Press the "Up" or "Down" buttons respectively.
Volume Control
After connecting a mobile phone or during a call, you can adjust volume:
- Increase Volume: Swipe forward across the Touch Volume button.
- Decrease Volume: Swipe backward across the Touch Volume button.
You can also tap the Touch Volume button anywhere to set a specific volume level.
LED Backlight Modes
Activate LED Indicator
While powered on, press the LED button to cycle through backlight modes: red, green, blue, and multicolor.
Exit LED Indicator Mode
To return to the normal indicator state, press and hold the LED button for 3 seconds.
Turn Off LED Backlight
Press and hold the "Up" button for 3 seconds to turn off the LED backlight. Press the LED button again to turn it back on.
LINE-IN Mode
Use the included line-in audio cable to connect to the BassBucket for audio output. The indicator light will turn green. The device automatically switches to LINE-IN mode upon connection. Disconnecting the cable reverts the device to Bluetooth mode.
Shared Access Mode
This mode allows more than two BassBucket units to share audio. One unit acts as the Host, connected to the mobile phone, while other units act as Secondary devices.
Pairing Host and Secondary Devices
- Host Device (connected to phone): Double-press the LED button. The green indicator will flash rapidly, and you will hear the voice prompt "Shared access mode enabled".
- Secondary Device (not connected to phone): Double-press the LED button. The green indicator will flash rapidly, and you will hear the voice prompt "Shared access mode enabled".
After pairing, the Host indicator flashes blue slowly. The Secondary device indicator flashes blue slowly with a "Auxiliary speaker connected" prompt.
Multiple secondary units can play the same audio from the host device, enabling 1-to-N audio playback.
If the host device powers off, secondary devices will automatically enter pairing mode. If the host device turns off, all secondary devices will enter pairing mode.
Controls in Shared Access Mode
- Host Device: Controls music playback (play/pause, next/previous song) and volume. These changes are synchronized across all secondary devices.
- Secondary Device: Allows volume adjustment and exiting shared access mode or disconnecting. These actions are not synchronized with the host.
Exiting Shared Access Mode
Host Device: Double-press the LED button. The host will exit shared access mode and return to Bluetooth pairing mode with the mobile phone. Secondary devices will enter pairing mode.
Secondary Device: Double-press the LED button. The secondary device will exit shared access mode and return to Bluetooth pairing mode with the mobile phone.
Software Update Function
The BassBucket can be updated via its USB-C port using a special USB-C data cable. Wireless updates are also supported.
