TELECO TV TXQ 868 Portable Transmitters
This document outlines the features, applications, and usage instructions for the TELECO TV TXQ 868 series of portable transmitters.
Product Overview
The TELECO TV TXQ 868 series are miniature radio signal transmitters designed for remote control of receivers. They are suitable for a wide range of applications including the control of doors, rolling shutters, awnings, Venetian blinds, lighting, heating, ventilation, and irrigation systems.
The transmitters utilize a unique, unalterable rolling code emission system, ensuring high selectivity and preventing duplication.
Available Models:
- TV TXQ 868 A03: 3 channels
- TV TXQ 868 A07: 7 channels
- TV TXQ 868 A18: 18 channels
- TV TXQ 868 A42: 42 channels
Technical Specifications:
- Power Supply: 3V CR2430 lithium battery
- Transmission Current Consumption: 10 mA
- Emission Frequency: 868.3 MHz
- Range: ≥ 50 m in open air, up to 150 m with an antenna-equipped receiver
- Operating Temperature: -10 to +55 °C
Dimensional Plan:
The transmitters have a compact design. For the 3 or 7 channel models, there is a red LED that illuminates when a button is pressed or a channel group is selected. A 'SEL' button is used to select the channel groups.
Dimensions (approximate for 3/7 channel models):
- Width: 42 mm
- Height: 120 mm
- Depth: 21 mm
Application
These portable transmitters are used for the remote control of various automated systems. The number of channels allows for flexible assignment to different functions such as opening, stopping, and closing shutters, controlling lighting levels, or managing irrigation systems.
Addressing and Programming
Transmitter codes can be memorized directly into receivers or within the TVLink system. Two methods for direct memorization into a receiver are available:
- Telecoding using the P3 button of an already memorized transmitter.
- Coding using the dedicated button within the receiver.
Memorized codes are stored in the receiver's PROM memory and are retained even during power outages. Specific coding and erasure procedures are detailed in the receiver or TVLink user manuals.
With the TVLink system, it is possible to establish scenarios and personalize transmitter functions.
Usage Recommendations
- Keep transmitters out of reach of children and animals.
- Avoid using transmitters in areas sensitive to radio emissions (e.g., hospitals, airports).
- Do not store transmitters in humid or dusty environments.
- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or excessively high temperatures.
- Do not drop transmitters or subject them to impacts.
- Avoid areas where the transmission range might be reduced. If range is limited, place the transmitter at a higher position (e.g., under a car's sun visor).
- Replace the battery when necessary.
- Avoid pressing buttons with fingernails.
Battery Replacement
- Keep batteries out of reach of children and animals. Seek immediate medical attention if ingested.
- Never bring batteries into contact with metallic objects to prevent short circuits or fires.
- Observe correct polarity when replacing the battery to avoid explosion hazards.
- Use only CR2430 batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries in an environmentally friendly manner; do not discard them in household waste.
- When replacing the battery, open the transmitter cover and insert the new battery following the same orientation as the old one.
Warranty
The warranty is in accordance with current regulations. Warranty service is provided by the specialized reseller. The warranty is valid only in the country where the transmitter was purchased. Batteries are excluded from the warranty.
EU Declaration of Conformity
This transmitter complies with the essential requirements and provisions of Directive R&TTE 1999/5/EC. A copy of the Declaration of Conformity (DOC) can be downloaded from www.telecoautomation.com/ce. Applicable directives and standards include the European directive on electromagnetic compatibility (89/336/CE) and EN 300220-1, EN 300683, EN 60950.
Specific Model Usage Notes
TV TXQ 868 A03 (3 Channels)
Used for remote control of receivers for doors, shutters, awnings, etc. (three buttons for open, stop, close).
TV TXQ 868 A07 (7 Channels)
Suitable for controlling lighting dimming, lighting switching, irrigation, ventilation, and opening/closing of doors or sun protection systems. Channel assignment depends on the desired action and receiver configuration.
Example Usage with TV DMM 868 A01 Dimmer:
- C1: 100% brightness
- C2: 75% brightness
- C3: 50% brightness
- C4: 25% brightness
- C5: Manual dimming up
- C6: Manual dimming down
- C7: Extinction
Usage with Bistable Receivers: Due to the odd number of buttons, channels cannot be exclusively paired. Multiple receivers can be memorized based on their response to a given command. For example, C1/C2 for shutter open/close, C3/C4 for lighting on/off, C5/C6/C7 for solar blind control.
TV TXQ 868 A18 (18 Channels)
Similar applications to other models. When used with a motor receiver, specific button assignments are made: 'up/open', 'stop', 'down/close'. The SEL button allows selection of functional channel groups.
TV TXQ 868 A42 (42 Channels)
Offers extensive channel options for various automation tasks. The SEL button allows selection of channel groups, with up to 6 groups of 7 channels. The transmitter automatically selects the last used channel group.
Important Note for Motor Control (A42): Channels 5, 6, and 7 are specifically assigned for motor control: 5 for up/open, 6 for stop, and 7 for down/close. Channels 6 and 7 can be used for bistable control of a single circuit or separately for tele-switch control.
