Installation Instructions
Step 1: Mount Ceiling Plate and Column
Diagram showing the CP5 ceiling plate fixed to the ceiling via 8 pre-defined fixing holes, and the column inserted into the ceiling plate socket and secured with a through bolt. This step secures the column to the ceiling.
Fix the CP5 ceiling plate into position using the 8 pre-defined fixing holes. Place the column length into the ceiling plate socket and fix the through bolt into the ceiling plate and through the column to secure it.
Step 2: Attach Gantry to Column
Diagram illustrating the Spider Gantry being attached to the top of the column and secured with a through bolt and grub screws. Grub screws on both the gantry and ceiling plate through bolts should be tightened.
Offer up the Spider Gantry of your choice to the other end of the column and thread it into the socket. Once in position, fix the through bolt into the gantry and through the column. Tighten the grub screws located on either side of the through bolt here and on the CP5 ceiling plate.
Step 3: Attach Screen Mounts to Gantry Arms
Diagram showing universal screen mount backplates being attached to the ends of the gantry arms. This process should be repeated for each gantry arm.
Take one of the universal screen mount backplates and affix it to the plate at the end of one of the gantry arms. Repeat this step so that each gantry arm has a universal backplate fixed into position.
Step 4: Attach Arms to Screen
Diagram depicting the screen mount arms being attached to the back of a screen, with the 'hook' part of the arm oriented upwards. Use the provided tag locks and fixing pack.
Utilising the tag locks and fixing pack provided with your mount, attach the arms to the back of your screen. Ensure the arms are the correct way up before tightening – the 'hook' part of the arm should be at the top.
Step 5: Mount Screen to Gantry
Diagram showing a screen being lifted by a team member and its mounting points hooked onto the arms attached to the gantry. The screen is then offered up to the back plate and lowered into position. The screen can be centered horizontally.
Using another team member, lift the screen up and gradually offer it up to the back plate. Gently tilting the screen forward, hook the arms over the lip of the back plate and lower once in position. Centre the screen horizontally by sliding from side to side until you are happy with the position.
Step 6: Level and Secure Screen
Diagram illustrating the process of leveling a screen using screws on the mount. Top screws are tightened first to level, then bottom screws are tightened to secure. Tilting arms can be adjusted if applicable.
Once centered, ensure the bottom screws are not screwed tight and screw down the top screws to level the screen. Once level, tighten bottom screws to secure the mount. Alternative: If using tilting arms, this is when you can adjust them to suit. Note that you won't be able to adjust the screens position after the screws have been tightened.
Step 7: Position Additional Screens
Diagram showing one screen being adjusted and aligned with another screen. Arms can be adjusted until tightened. This step is repeated for additional screens.
Once one screen is in position, gently pull it out, extending the arm on the gantry mount. Place a second screen and start to align both screens to the desired position (e.g., corners touching, 10mm gap, etc.). Until tightened, arms can be adjusted as required. Repeat for additional screens.
Step 8: Final Tightening
Diagram indicating the final tightening of screws on the gantry arms to secure the screens and prevent movement.
Once all screens are in position, tighten the screws located on each gantry arm. This will prevent movement and ensure screens stay in the desired position.
