EKEDALEN Extendable Table Assembly Instructions

General Assembly Information

Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary tools. This assembly typically requires a Phillips head screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver ?. It is recommended to assemble the table on a soft surface, such as a rug or the packaging material, to prevent scratches.

Assembly Steps

Step 1: Attach 8x screws (154954) into the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the tabletop.
Step 2: Position the two long metal frame rails onto the underside of the tabletop. Secure each rail with 2x screws (101350).
Step 3: Insert 4x wooden dowels (101350) into the designated holes at the ends of the long frame rails.
Step 4: Attach the shorter frame rails to the ends of the long rails. Use 4x bolts (114613) and secure them with 12x cam lock nuts (113434).
Step 5: Attach the remaining two shorter frame rails to the other ends of the long rails using 4x screws (156685).
Step 6: Insert 4x wooden dowels (101350) into the ends of the shorter frame rails.
Step 7: Connect the frame structure. Insert wooden dowels (101350) into the corresponding holes and secure with screws (101350).
Step 8: Attach the side frame pieces to the main frame structure. Ensure they are correctly oriented.
Step 9: Secure the frame assembly using cam lock nuts (113434).
Step 10: Mount the metal bracket with the roller mechanism (10062668) onto the underside of the tabletop using 4x spring screws (10082399).
Step 11: Attach the plastic bracket pieces (109021) to the side frame rails. Secure them with screws (109067) and roller mechanism components (10062668).
Step 12: Attach the other plastic bracket pieces (109021) to the frame using screws (109067) and roller mechanism components (10062668).
Step 13: Insert the extension leaf into the sliding mechanism. Ensure it is correctly aligned.
Step 14: Secure the extension leaf mechanism with screws (156685).
Step 15: Attach the locking mechanisms. This involves fitting spring screws (10082399) and pins (10064763) into bracket parts (10082205).
Step 16: Attach table legs. Insert long threaded rods (154409) and shorter threaded rods (154409) into the legs. Attach legs to the frame using connecting bolts (154409) and washers (100843).
Step 17: Attach the other set of table legs using the same method as Step 16.
Step 18: Attach the four metal corner brackets (122483) to the frame using screws (109021).
Step 19: Attach the remaining corner brackets using screws (109021).
Step 20: Attach the final table legs using bolts (154409).
Step 21: Ensure the extension mechanism clicks into place ? "Click!".
Step 22: Attach table legs using threaded rods (100041, 100038) and connecting bolts (110912).
Step 23: Insert the legs into the frame. Ensure they are properly aligned and secured.
Step 24: Use the Allen key (120202) to tighten bolts (100843) and nuts (100712) that secure the legs.
Step 25: Attach legs using connecting bolts (110912) and screws (100041).
Step 26: Insert the legs into the frame.
Step 27: Use the Allen key (120202) to tighten bolts (100843) and nuts (100712) for final leg securing.
Step 28: Attach the feet (107271) to the bottom of each table leg.
Step 29: Attach tabletop support brackets to the underside of the tabletop using screws (109021) and cam lock nuts (110912).
Step 30: Attach extension leaf support brackets to the extension leaf using screws (10082399) and pins (10064763).

Extending the Table

To extend the EKEDALEN table:

Gently pull one end of the tabletop outwards ➡️.
The extension leaf will slide out smoothly from the center.
To retract the table, push the extension leaf back into the center until it locks into place with an audible "Click!" ? "Click!".

Ensure the locking mechanisms are properly engaged ? or disengaged ? to secure the table in both its extended and retracted positions.
