The Baby Trend® warranty covers workmanship defects within 1 year of purchase. Any product which has been subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration or accident, or has had its serial number altered or removed invalidates all claims against the manufacturer. Any damage to property during installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Warnings and Cautions

⚠ WARNING: Please follow all of these instructions to ensure the safety of your child. Keep these instructions for future reference. NEVER run or jog with this stroller.

⚠ WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out, always use the safety harness and ensure that the children are properly positioned according to these instructions.

⚠ WARNING: Never leave children unattended.

⚠ WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.

CAUTION: Do not allow children near stroller while folding and unfolding.

⚠ WARNING: Wheel can detach and cause tip over. Pull on the wheel to assure it is securely attached.

⚠ WARNING: Care must be taken when folding stroller to prevent damage. Make sure all accessories, mobile phones, diaper bags or purses are removed before folding. Failure to remove items in, or on the stroller may result in damage to the stroller or the item(s) if not removed. Baby Trend® will not be liable or warrant any damage.

CAUTION: This single stroller is designed for one child only. Use with more than one child may cause an unbalanced condition which can injure/harm your child.

Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags or accessory items may change the balance of the stroller and cause a hazardous, unstable condition.

The maximum weight that can be carried in the storage basket is 5 pounds (2.27kg). Excessive weight may cause a hazardous unstable condition.

The maximum weight that can be carried in the child tray is 3 pounds (1.36 kg).

The maximum weight that can be carried in the parent tray is 3 pounds (1.36 kg).

Be certain the stroller is completely opened and locked in place before allowing a child near the stroller.

The child occupant must not exceed 50 lb (22.67 kg) or be over 42 inches (106.7 cm) tall when used with the maximum weight on the child tray, parent tray, and basket. Do not exceed 60 lb (27.21 kg) including the weight used in accessories. Use of the stroller and attached car seat with a total weight more than 60 lb (27.21 kg) will cause excessive wear and stress on the stroller and may cause a hazardous unstable condition.

ALWAYS refer to the manual located under the car seat for car seat weight limitations.

NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.

NEVER use the stroller with roller skates, in-line skates, skateboards, or bicycles.

NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.

Assembly and Usage Instructions

IMPORTANT!

To ensure safe operation of your product, please follow these instructions carefully. Please keep these instructions for future reference.

Before assembly and each use, inspect this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts, or sharp edges. NEVER use if any parts are missing or broken.

Adult assembly is required. Keep child away during unpacking and assembly.

1. Set Up the Stroller Frame

Unlock: Release the fold latch by pulling it outward [illustration of fold latch release]. Unfold stroller frame by pulling upward on the stroller handle to lock the frame [illustration of unfolding frame].

2. Front Wheel

Place the front wheel: If assembly is required, insert the front wheel peg into the front stroller hub. Push the wheel in firmly until it clicks into position [illustration of front wheel attachment]. NOTE: Undo latch to swivel [illustration of swivel latch].

3. Rear Axle

Place the rear wheels: The rear wheels MUST be installed prior to use. Align the rear wheel to the rear stroller hub [illustration of rear wheel alignment]. Push the wheel in firmly until it clicks into position [illustration of rear wheel click], and repeat for the other side.

NOTE: Pull on the front and rear wheels to ensure all are securely attached to the stroller. NEVER use stroller if wheels do not lock into place. 4. Rear Brakes

⚠ WARNING: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed so that the stroller will not roll away. NEVER leave stroller unattended on a hill or incline as the stroller may slide down the hill.

Engage and release: Press down the brake levers to engage and lift up on the brake levers to release. Stroller may require forward/rearward movement to engage the brake. Check that brakes are applied properly [illustration of brake engagement].

5. Canopy Installation

To install the canopy, slide the male ends of the canopy into the female slots on the stroller frame [illustration of canopy attachment]. To remove the canopy, press the release tab on the inside of the stroller frame [illustration of release tab]. Pull the canopy out [illustration of canopy removal]. Repeat for the other side.

6. Mobile Phone Positioning Parent Tray

⚠ WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 lb (1.36 kg) in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions can result.

⚠ WARNING: Care must be taken when folding stroller to prevent damage. Make sure all accessories, mobile phones, diaper bags, or purses are removed before folding. Failure to remove items may result in damage to the stroller or the item(s). Baby Trend® will not be liable or warrant any damage.

Before attaching the tray:

  1. Face the tray with the prominent arch side towards the canopy. Locate the three canopy straps and seat strap [illustration of tray straps].
  2. Flip tray over with slots facing towards the seat and canopy [illustration of flipped tray]. NOTE: First thread the middle canopy strap through the slot. Second, insert the middle seat strap through the slot.
  3. Insert the remaining straps into the tray slots [illustration of inserting remaining straps].
  4. Pull back each strap to catch the hole into each pertaining tray tab [illustration of securing straps to tabs].
  5. Flip the tray over and align the parent tray tabs to the inner tabs on both sides of the stroller. Press the tray down firmly until both tabs click into position [illustration of final tray attachment].

NOTE: Ensure all fabric panels are attached to their corresponding tab as illustrated [illustration of fabric panel attachment].

To secure canopy: hook elastic strap fasteners on each side of the stroller frame [illustration of canopy securing].

7. Child Tray

⚠ WARNING: The child's tray is not a restraint device; always secure your child with the seat harness. DO NOT lift the stroller by the child's tray. Use care when child is in the stroller and securing the front tray. Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds (1.36 kg) in the child tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.

To attach the child tray: Push the tray downward into the connectors [illustration of child tray attachment]. Check that the tray is securely latched in place.

To access the child seat: Push one release and lift up the tray simultaneously [illustration of accessing child seat]. Either side of the child tray will lift and rotate out of the way to allow access to the front seat.

To remove the child tray: Push to release both ends and lift up the tray simultaneously [illustration of removing child tray].

8. Storage Basket

Secure and access: Check straps: If received unattached, follow instructions to attach. Ensure all straps with snap closures and basket straps are attached correctly. NOTE: Always secure straps as shown [illustration of strap securing].

Basket Access / Flip-Up Leg Rest: Lift the leg rest to access the storage basket from the front side [illustration of basket access]. NOTE: Lift leg rest from the edge, and always close the storage basket front access when not in use and apply the snap closure.

9. Air Flow Feature

Padding removal: Unhook the shoulder straps to pass them through the padding [illustration of unhooking straps]. Roll the padding neatly to apply the hook and loop fastener, located on the top of the seat pad [illustration of rolling padding]. Reverse to close the air flow feature [illustration of closing feature]. NOTE: For harness straps instructions, see Step 12.

10. Hide the Back Padding

Trifold through opening: NOTE: Ensure the button strap behind the stroller is unsnapped and unhooked from the loop.

To roll up flat and compact, feed the side sections through the top center opening [illustration of feeding side sections]. Feed the padding through the opening gap as shown [illustration of feeding padding through gap]. Then pull the padding out and unfold from behind the stroller.

Remove trifold to finish: Fold the padding tightly by rolling it upward [illustration of folding padding]. (1) Use the button strap to hook and loop. (2) Snap the button when finished. To undo, reverse the steps above.

11. Securing the Seat Fabric

Check all attachments: If received unattached, follow instructions to attach: Feed the rear recline clip and the seat fabric through the appropriate bracket and slots on the stroller frame sides [illustration of seat fabric attachment].

Check all attachments: If received unattached, follow instructions to attach: Ensure all safety straps underneath the rear seat are secured through the appropriate slots [illustration of safety strap attachment].

12. Safety Harness

⚠ WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose safety harness. Never leave child in seat when safety harness is loose or undone.

5-point harness: The shoulder straps of the 5-point harness have multiple positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child's shoulder [illustration of shoulder strap positioning].

To secure the child, place the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten all buckles to the proper fit for the child [illustration of securing harness].

Strap Adjustments: Adjust the harness from the rear of the seat. Grip the anchored buckles and pass them through the slots and subsequently pull the straps out from the seat [illustration of strap adjustment]. Feed the anchor buckles into the appropriate slots on the stroller and fabric padding [illustration of anchor buckle insertion].

RELEASE!: Push button on center clasp, the two harness buckles will release [illustration of release button].

13. Seatback Positioning

Recline and Upright adjustment: To recline the seat, press the clip ends together and pull down. To place the seat into an upright position, press the clip ends together while holding the end of the strap. Push clip upwards to secure into desired position [illustration of seatback adjustment].

NOTE: The upright position should be used only for a child that is at least 6 months old. Always re-adjust the safety harness, including the shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback.

14. The Infant Car Seat

⚠ WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the Infant Car Seat harness.

ATTENTION: CS01 EZ-Lift, CS02 EZ-Lift PLUS, and CS03 EZ-Lift PRO Infant Car Seats must attach to the module of the stroller's front seat. These models require child tray and seat back adjustment to the most reclined position.

Align the car seat module to the inner frame connectors. Carefully rest the car seat's lower rear against the angle point of the tray. Latch the module into the stroller frame. Press down firmly for the click. ALWAYS ensure that the car seat is properly connected and locked onto the stroller before each use by lifting up on the car seat handle [illustration of car seat attachment]. ALWAYS use the short clip to secure the infant car seat to the stroller [illustration of short clip use].

NOTE: To make seat position adjustments, refer to Step 11.

Removing the car seat: NOTE: Set handle to the carry position [illustration of handle position]. Squeeze the release handle located at the top-rear of the car seat and lift away from the stroller [illustration of car seat removal].

15. To Fold Stroller

⚠ WARNING: Care must be taken when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.

CAUTION: Do not allow children near stroller while folding.

Stroller - Folding Strap: Locate the strap in the seat pocket. Using one hand, pull the strap firmly upward to unlock the frame [illustration of pulling fold strap]. Holding the strap, lift the stroller frame until it fully closes [illustration of lifting frame to close]. Compress stroller and secure with fold latch [illustration of securing with latch]. Always tuck the pull strap back into the seat fabric [illustration of tucking strap]. NOTE: You may remove the tray for a compact fold. Refer to Step 7.

16. To Unfold Stroller

CAUTION: Do not allow children near stroller while unfolding.

Stroller - Fold Latch: Unlock the fold latch [illustration of unlocking fold latch] and unfold stroller frame by pulling upward on the stroller handle until the frame locks [illustration of unfolding and locking frame]. Consult the child tray instructions if needed for removing or adjusting the tray.

17. Front and Rear Wheel Release

MAINTENANCE

If replacing the front wheel: Locate the release pin on the front of the wheel hub. Push in the release pin and pull the wheel out [illustration of front wheel release].

Re-Install: Insert the front wheel peg into the front stroller hub. Push the wheel in firmly until it clicks into position [illustration of front wheel re-installation]. NOTE: Release pin on right if wheel is positioned as shown.

18. Care and Maintenance

SEAT PAD: To clean the seat pad, use only mild household soap or detergent and warm water on a sponge or clean cloth.

OTHER: Check your stroller for loose screws, worn parts, torn material or stitching on a regular basis. Replace or repair parts as needed.
