Step 1: Hardware Connections
EN:
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect the WAN port to an external modem.
- Connect a computer to the LAN port using the yellow Ethernet cable (optional).
- Connect the power cable to the Zyxel Device and press the power button.
LED Indicators:
- POWER: Green On - Power is on. Red Blinking - The Zyxel Device is starting up. Red On - There is a malfunction.
- INTERNET: Green On - Internet is ready. Red Blinking - The Zyxel Device is upgrading firmware. Red On - The Zyxel Device attempted to get an IP address, but failed. Off - WAN connection is down or in Bridge mode.
- WAN: Green On - Internet is ready. Blinking - The Zyxel Device is transmitting/receiving data. On - The Zyxel Device attempted to get an IP address, but failed. Off - WAN connection is down or in Bridge mode.
- LAN: Green On - Has a successful Ethernet connection with a device on the Local Area Network (LAN) via the LAN ports. Blinking - Transmitting/receiving data to/from the LAN via the LAN ports. Off - No Ethernet connection with the LAN via the LAN ports.
Step 2: WiFi Connection
4-a Manual Connection (Using SSID)
EN: The SSID and Wireless Key are on the device label. On your smartphone or notebook, find this SSID. Enter the Wireless Key to connect.

4-b Automatic Connection (Using WPS)
EN: Press the WPS button until the WiFi 2.4G and 5G LEDs light up in amber. Press the WPS button on the client. If the WPS method fails, perform the Using SSID method.
LED Indicators:
- WiFi 2.4G/5G: Amber Blinking - The Zyxel Device is connecting to 2.4 GHz WiFi client via WPS. Green On - 2.4 GHz WiFi is ready. Amber Blinking - The Zyxel Device is connecting to 5 GHz WiFi client via WPS. Green On - 5 GHz WiFi is ready.
Step 3: Quick Start Wizard
EN: Open a web browser and go to https://192.168.1.1. Enter the default Username (admin) and admin login password (on the device label), and then click Login. A wizard runs. Follow the wizard prompts to complete the setup.

MPro Mesh Network Scenario
EN:
- Use the included Ethernet cable to connect the first Zyxel Device (Zyxel Device-1) LAN port to a gateway modem LAN port. Wait until the POWER and INTERNET LEDs are steady green.
- Log into the second Zyxel Device (Zyxel Device-2) Web Configurator. Go to Maintenance > Operation Mode to select Extender, then click Apply. Note: The Zyxel Device is in Router mode by default. Make sure to set the Zyxel Device-2 to Extender mode before connecting it to Zyxel Device-1.
- Use another Ethernet cable to connect the second Zyxel Device (Zyxel Device-2) LAN port to the first Zyxel Device (Zyxel Device-1) LAN port. Wait until the POWER and INTERNET LEDs on Zyxel Device-2 are steady green.
- Unplug the Ethernet and power cable from the Zyxel Device-2.
- Place the Zyxel Device-2 where you want to extend your wireless network.
- Plug in the power adapter. Make sure your INTERNET LED is steady green. Move the Zyxel Device-2 closer to the Zyxel Device-1 if the INTERNET LED is red.

LED Indicators for Zyxel Device-2 (Extender):
- POWER: Green On - Power is on or the MPro Mesh pairing process is done. Blinking - The Zyxel Device is starting up or under the MPro Mesh pairing process. Red On - The Zyxel Device detects a system error. Blinking (Fast) - The Zyxel Device is upgrading firmware. Blinking (Slow) - The MPro Mesh process has failed.
- INTERNET: Green On - Internet is ready or the WiFi connection to the gateway modem/controller is good. Blinking - Transmitting/receiving data. Red On - Attempted to get an IP address but failed, or the WiFi connection signal is too weak. Off - Internet is not ready or no connection to the gateway modem/controller.
- WAN: Green On - The Ethernet WAN port is connected successfully. Off - The Ethernet WAN port is not connected successfully.
- LAN: Green On - Has a successful Ethernet connection with a device on the Local Area Network (LAN) via the LAN ports. Blinking - Transmitting/receiving data to/from the LAN via the LAN ports. Off - No Ethernet connection with the LAN via the LAN ports.
Wall Mounting (Optional)
EN:
- Drill two holes on the wall at the distance of 110 mm.
- Insert screw anchors and screws (not provided) into the holes.
- Place the Zyxel Device so the wall mount holes line up with the screws. Slide the Zyxel Device down gently to fix it into place.

Download the MPro Mesh app to manage your Zyxel Device. Note: To manage your Mesh network, connect the MPro Mesh app to the Controller.
