02 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The PETKIT PUROBOT ULTRA features several key components:
- Trunk: The main housing of the litter box.
- Standard Litter Sifter P99031: Exclusive for tofu cat litter and mixed cat litter.
- High Performance Cat Litter Pad ULTRA P99035: A durable, non-stick, scratch-resistant, and waterproof litter pad.
- Proximity Sensor: Detects the cat's presence.
- Weight Sensor: Measures the cat's weight.
- Handle: Used for lifting and moving the device.
AI Camera Unit:
- Camera: Captures images and videos.
- Fill Light: Illuminates the interior for better camera visibility.
- Camera Indicator Light: Shows the camera's status.
- Microphone: For audio communication.
- Menu Button: Navigates through settings.

03 PRODUCT INSTALLATION
Follow these steps for product installation:
3.1 Install AI Camera
- Unlock the buckle to remove the cylinder.
- Insert the AI camera into the installation port, as shown in the figure.
- Install screws: First, install screws labeled '1' and '2' horizontally. Then, install screws labeled '3' and '4' vertically. Tighten all screws with the hex key.
3.2 Install Refill Ring and N60
- Remove the refill ring cover, insert the refill ring, and then replace the cover.
- Install the trunk, ensuring it attaches securely to the magnets on both sides.
- Open the lid, install the N60, and close the lid. Do not place anything on the lid to avoid damaging the device.
3.3 Power On
- Connect the power adapter to the power supply. The cylinder will reset automatically.
- The camera will rotate.
- Select the appropriate litter sifter based on your cat litter type. For mineral cat litter, use sifter P99032. Pour cat litter into the cylinder, ensuring it does not exceed the MAX line. (Refer to sections 7.1.2 and 7.2.4 for litter sifter replacement methods).
04 PRODUCT USAGE
4.1 Device Binding
* Please bind the device with the PETKIT app before using it for the first time. The device can only be used after successful binding.
- Download the App: Download the PETKIT App from the App Store or Google Play. You can also scan the QR code provided in the manual to download and install the app.
- Add the device: Open the app, tap the '+' icon, and select 'PETKIT PUROBOT ULTRA WITH CAMERA SELF-CLEANING CAT LITTER BOX'.
- Start connection: On the device, press the menu button to switch to 'Connect to the network', then press the OK button. The screen will display 'Connecting'. Follow the on-screen instructions in the app until the binding is successful.
- Read instructions: To ensure the safety of your pets and the correct use of the product, carefully read the instructions and use the product according to the usage guide after the first successful connection. This includes guidance on device setup, refill ring setup, camera rotation, litter pad cleaning, and adaptation.
05 APP FUNCTIONS
5.1 Homepage
- Live view: Monitor your pet's status in real-time.
- Light button: Turn the camera's fill light on or off.
- Toggle: Rotate the camera outward or inward with a single click.
- Camera rotation controls: Adjust the viewing angle horizontally.
- VLOG: A daily collection of highlight videos from the previous day, available for up to 7 days.
- Today's timeline: Videos are categorized by the AI algorithm for easy viewing. Note: Full video playback and highlights require a PETKIT Care+ subscription. Event images are available without a subscription.
- Function buttons: Access features like Scoop, Intercom, Pack, and Empty.
5.2 Label Description
Swipe left on the homepage to access the label page, which shows the status of the N60 and the Trash Bag.
- Replace N60: If the N60 label turns red and displays 'N60 has expired', replace it. After replacement, click 'Reset'. The label should then display 'Normal'. The N60 helps keep the air fresh by removing unpleasant smells. It is recommended to replace the N60 approximately every 45 days for optimal deodorization.
- Replace the Refill Ring: If the trash bag label turns red and displays 'Out of trash bag', replace the Refill Ring promptly. A warning sign '!' on the packed trash bag also indicates it's time to replace the Refill Ring. Use PETKIT Refill Rings to prevent device damage.
5.3 Description of Function Buttons
- Scoop: Click to clean out clumps from the cylinder.
- Intercom: Hold the button to talk to your pets.
- Pack: CAUTION: This function must be operated via the control panel. Do not leave the device unattended during packing. Click this button, follow the prompts, and double-press the OK button on the device to start auto-packing. Ensure someone is present during the process. After auto-packing is complete, remove the packed trash bag promptly to avoid the device stopping.
- Empty: CAUTION: This function must be operated via the control panel. Do not leave the device unattended during emptying. Click this button, follow the prompts, and double-press the OK button on the device to start emptying all cat litter. Emptying takes approximately 3 minutes. If the waste bin becomes full during emptying, the device will stop and start auto-packing. After packing, remove the bag and double-press OK to start auto-refilling.
5.4 Play Videos
After subscribing to the PETKIT Care+ service, you can view highlights and full video playback.
- Highlight playback: Click on a video in the timeline to view an accelerated version of highlights.
- Full clips playback: Click 'Playback' to view the complete video footage.
- Speedup playback: On the Playback page, click the '...' icon in the top right corner to select playback speed (1x, 2x, 4x), or hold the center of the screen to play at 2x speed.
5.5 Delete video clips
You can delete recorded video clips as needed:
- Method 1: Swipe left in the timeline and select 'Delete'.
- Method 2: Click on the video, switch to Playback, click the '...' icon in the top right corner, and select 'Delete'.
5.6 Privacy Protection
- Activate or deactivate the camera: Turn the camera on or off as needed. When the camera is turned off, it rotates into the cylinder and stops recording.
- Customize the camera operating time period: Set specific time slots for the camera to be active. Outside these periods, the camera will be off and will not record videos, though a temporary 5-minute live stream may be available.
- Smart detection: Turning off 'Pet Approach Detection' prevents recording videos outside the litter box. Turning off 'Pet Toileting Video' stops recording pet toileting videos.
- Live area privacy protection: When enabled, the live area on the device homepage will be blurred to protect your privacy. You can also disable event video/photo uploading and VLOG generation.
5.7 Other Settings
- Make fecal pictures clearer: Go to Settings > Scooping Setup and enable 'Light Assist'. The light will turn on during scooping and off upon completion.
- Turn off voice prompt:
- Method 1: Go to Settings > Voice Settings and turn off 'Voice Prompt'.
- Method 2: Go to Settings > Voice Settings, enable 'Do Not Disturb', and set the undisturbed period (e.g., 22:00-06:00).
- Cloud storage: Videos are stored for a limited time and periodically cleared (e.g., 7-day loop). All videos can be downloaded and viewed locally or in the app album.
- PETKIT Care+ service: Subscribing provides HD video playback and other privileges. The service can be transferred once per year to another PETKIT PUROBOT ULTRA. It is a virtual commodity and non-refundable.
06 INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTROL PANEL
6.1 Control Panel
Press buttons to switch functions and press OK to execute them.
- Press and hold: Turn the device on or off.
- Press: Switch between functions; the selected function will be displayed on the screen.
- Press: Execute the selected function.
- Double press: Level cat litter.
Description of Displayed Functions:
- Scoop: Automatically sifts out clumps from cat litter.
- Pack: Automatically seals the trash bag.
- Light: Turns on the fill light in the camera.
- Open / Close sealed door: Opens or closes the sealed door of the auto-packing module.
- Level cat litter: Distributes cat litter evenly in the cylinder; use after refilling litter.
- Empty cat litter: Empties all cat litter from the cylinder.
- Connect to the network: Used for binding the app.
- Reset: Adjusts the cylinder to the correct position.
6.2 Auto-Packing
! CAUTION: This function must be operated via the control panel. Do not leave the device during the packing process. When packing and refilling, the device may make a sound, which is normal.
- Press the 'Pack' button, then press OK. Double-press OK as prompted on the screen to start packing.
- After the screen shows the 'Please take out' icon and the device plays a prompt voice, open the lid, take out the packed trash bag, and close the lid.
- After removing the packed trash bag, double-press OK according to the screen and voice prompts to start auto-refilling.
6.3 Empty Cat Litter
* Do not leave the device during the emptying process. * After emptying all cat litter, you can replace it with new litter or clean the device.
- Press the 'Empty cat litter' button, then press OK. The device will automatically empty all cat litter from the cylinder.
- If the waste bin is full during emptying, the device will stop and start auto-packing. After packing, remove the trash bag and double-press OK to start auto-refilling.
6.4 Description of other prompts
Scrolling text at the bottom of the screen provides status updates:
- 'Out of trash bag soon, please replace the refill ring in time': The trash bag is running out; prepare a new refill ring.
- 'Trash bag not refilled, please double click OK button to start auto-refilling': Waste bin is not bagged; double-press OK to start auto-refilling.
- 'Cat has approached': The cat is near or in the litter box. The device will pause and alert, resuming after the pet leaves.
- 'Out of trash bag, please replace the refill ring now': The trash bag has run out; replace the refill ring immediately.
- 'Trunk not installed': The trunk is not installed; please check.
- 'Device failure': Indicates a device failure; check the details in the app.
07 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
For your cat's health, it is suggested to regularly clean or replace parts.
! Do not rinse or soak: Base, AI camera, and auto-packing module. Wipe these parts with a soft cloth only, as rinsing or soaking may cause device damage.
- AI Camera: Clean when the lens is not clear by wiping with a soft cloth. Do not rinse or soak.
- Base: Clean after removing the cylinder by wiping with a wet tissue. Do not rinse or soak.
- Cylinder: Clean when the inner surface is dirty by using a brush.
- Litter Sifter: Clean when your pet has loose stools by using a brush. Replace if damaged or broken. Avoid squeezing or exposure to sunlight.
- Litter Pad: Clean when it's dirty by wiping with a soft cloth; do not scrub. Replace if it sticks to cat litter or is broken. Do not clean with alcohol, disinfectant, bleach, or non-neutral detergent.
- N60: Replace approximately every two months. Slide upward to replace.
7.1 Detach Cylinder and Clean It
* Before removing the cylinder, please empty all cat litter. * Before disassembly, turn off or unplug the device.
- Remove the trunk, unlock the buckle, and remove the cylinder.
- Pinch the handle of the litter sifter to pull it out.
- Pinch the handle of the litter pad to pull it out.
- Clean the cylinder and litter sifter with a brush and rinse them. Wipe the litter pad with a soft cloth. Do not brush the litter pad violently.
7.2 Install Components
Install components only when they are completely dry.
- Place the cylinder against the wall.
- Hold the litter pad and insert its top into the groove, ensuring arrows align. Then, insert the bottom into the groove, ensuring arrows align.
- Gently press and release the pad; the sides will naturally stick into the groove. Ensure the blue edge is fully stuck and arrows are aligned. If the blue edge is not visible, installation is successful.
- Pinch the handle of the litter sifter, insert one buckle into point A, then the other into point B. Check: If the sifter swings back and forth, installation is successful.
- Place the cylinder on the base, lock the buckle, and ensure it is fastened.
- Install the trunk. Installation is complete.
7.3 Maintenance of Other Components
- Wipe the AI camera, base, and proximity sensor with a soft cloth.
- If there is litter in the #1 and #2 litter collection trays, take them out, dump the litter, and put them back.
