Rating Plate

Sample rating plates are provided for Standard Power Fan Type Unit and Standard Power Blower Type Unit. These plates detail critical information such as Model, Serial No., Voltage, Phase, Hertz, Maximum Total Input, Amps, Type of Gas, Altitude Usage, Orifice Size, Normal Input BTU/HR, Thermal Output Capacity, Minimum Input BTU/HR, Normal Manifold Pressure, Minimum Permissible Gas Supply Pressure, and Clearances to Combustible Construction.

The rating plate key defines each lettered or numbered field (A, A', B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, Z) for decoding this information.

Serial Numbers

Serial number format changed in June 2015. The document provides a key to decode serial numbers for models BEFORE June 2015 (e.g., BLK796EN00000) and AFTER May 2015 (e.g., BOG306000000), detailing elements like date code, ignition system, gas valve type, gas type, and consecutive number.

Table 2 provides a detailed month-and-year date code mapping for serial numbers from 2002 to 2020.
