Installation Diagrams
Typical Attic Installation - Fresh Air Ventilator Ducted to Supply Duct
This diagram illustrates a typical attic installation where the Fresh Air Ventilator is ducted to the supply duct of a Furnace/Air Handler. It shows the Fresh Air Ventilator with Ventilation Controller positioned between the Furnace/Air Handler and a Return Mixing Box. A Fresh Air Intake Duct connects the ventilator to a Fresh Air Intake Hood with Screen, typically mounted on an exterior wall (Gable End Wall, Band Joist, or Porch Soffit). Airflow is indicated from the outside, through the intake hood and duct, into the ventilator, and then into the supply duct.
Alternate Attic Installation - Fresh Air Ventilator Ducted to Return Duct
This diagram depicts an alternate installation where the Fresh Air Ventilator is ducted to the return duct of a Furnace/Air Handler. The setup includes the Fresh Air Ventilator with Ventilation Controller, Furnace/Air Handler, a Filter, and a Return Mixing Box. A Model 6506 Damper is shown in the Fresh Air Intake Duct, which connects the ventilator to a Fresh Air Intake Hood with Screen mounted externally. Airflow is shown entering from the outside via the intake hood and duct, passing through the ventilator, and then into the return duct.
