Installation Guide
Before starting, ensure the power to the socket is completely turned off at the circuit breaker.
STEP 1: Turn off circuit breaker
Locate the circuit breaker controlling your existing socket and switch it off. Verify that the socket is completely de-energized.
STEP 2: Remove the original socket
Carefully remove the existing wall socket. Identify the wires within the wall cassette: Neutral wire, Line wire (Live wire), and Ground wire.
Diagram Description: Shows a wall cassette with wires labeled LINE, NEUTRAL, and GROUND. The original socket is shown removed.
If your original socket had multiple outlets, you might find 4 or 5 wires. This smart socket requires only the Neutral, Line, and Ground wires. Other wires do not need to be connected.
STEP 3: Label your wires
Before disconnecting the old socket, mark or record the corresponding function of each wire to ensure correct reconnection.
Diagram Description: Shows wires labeled GROUND, LINE, NEUTRAL with corresponding connection points on the new socket.
Wire Identification Guide (General Reference):
- White wire: Typically represents the Neutral line.
- Black wire: Typically represents the Line (Live) wire.
- Green, Yellow, or a single bare copper wire: Typically represents the Ground wire.
Note: These color codes are for general reference and may vary. Always confirm wire functions before connecting.
For safety, always connect the ground wire.
STEP 4: Install socket
Connect the wires of the new smart socket to your home wiring using appropriate wire connectors (e.g., wire nuts), following the wiring diagram. Ensure correct matching of Line, Neutral, and Ground wires. Once connections are secure, remove any protective stickers, screw the socket into the wall cassette, and attach the faceplate.
Diagram Description: Illustrates the wiring connections: L-IN to Line wire, N-IN to Neutral wire, and GROUND to Ground wire. Shows the socket being screwed into the wall and the faceplate attached.
STEP 5: Turn on circuit breaker
Restore power to the socket by turning the circuit breaker back on. Test the socket by pressing the ON/OFF buttons to confirm it functions correctly.
STEP 6: Check the Wi-Fi light
The Wi-Fi indicator light should blink rapidly (2 times per second) indicating it's ready for network configuration. If it's not blinking rapidly, press and hold any ON/OFF button for 7-10 seconds to reset it to the default pairing mode.
Diagram Description: Shows the socket with indicator lights and ON/OFF buttons. An arrow points to the Wi-Fi indicator light, showing it rapidly blinking.
App Integration and Control

AP Mode (Alternative)
If the indicator light is not blinking rapidly, press and hold any ON/OFF button for another 7-10 seconds. The indicator light will then blink slowly (1 time every 3 seconds), indicating AP Mode. Follow similar steps in the MOES App to add the device via AP mode.
Diagram Description: Shows the indicator light slowly blinking, indicating AP Mode.
Once the device is successfully added, you can edit its name. Click "Done" to access the device page and enjoy your smart home automation.
