Product Description

This newly designed wall socket is designed with WiFi protocol to replace the traditional wall socket. The APP has newly added new pairing mode with Bluetooth enabled, panel indicator mode and relay status setting (power on, power off, power off memory), switch log, child lock, current statistics, overcurrent protection, etc. Enter Smart Life/Tuya App, all control modes are effective without any interference. Its design is suitable for different decoration styles, which is really great value for money.

Installation

Notes: Install the switch with electricity off. Do not install in a damp environment. Neutral wire is not required (single live line). Do not exceed the maximum load. Please follow instructions and properly install. If you don't have any wiring experience, please call a professional electrician.

  1. Step 1: Power Off and Test

    Turn off the circuit breaker and use the electrical tester to test the power. Ensure the switch is off before wiring.

    [Warning icon] Attention: Please disconnect the power supply before installing or removing the device for avoiding irreversible damage on the device from the electric current or some unpredictable problems such as lamp flashing.

  2. Step 2: Remove Old Switch

    Remove the old switch.

  3. Step 3: Prepare Wiring

    Remove the switch and pull it away from the wall. Identify Line/Load Wire (Note: The color of your wire may be different from the color shown on the manual.)

    [Warning icon] Verify power is off: We recommend you remove the faceplate from the old switch and use an electrical tester to test all wires connected to the switch to ensure there is no voltage in the circuit. You may need to turn off more than one circuit breaker.

  4. Step 4: Document Wiring

    Take pictures of the wiring.

  5. Step 5: Remove Panel

    Remove the panel with a screwdriver (Please don't install with electricity power on).

  6. Step 6: Connect Wires

    Diagram Description: Shows wiring connections for EU/FR and UK sockets. For EU/FR: Live wire to 'L', Neutral to 'N', Ground to 'G'. For UK: Live wire to 'L', Neutral to 'N', Ground to 'G'.

    A. Connect the live wire to the "L" terminal.

    B. Connect the neutral wire to the "N" terminal.

    C. Connect the ground wire to the "G" terminal.

  7. Step 7: Final Assembly

    Put the switch into the switch box in the wall. Mount the two side screws. Install the glass panel (install from up above). Finish installation.

Add Devices (Smart Life App)

  1. 1. Download Smart Life App

    Please scan the QR code or download Smart Life on the App Store or Google Play.

  2. 2. Register or Log In

    Enter the Register/Login interface; tap "Register" to create an account by entering your phone number to get a verification code and set a password. Choose "Log in" if you already have a Smart Life account.

  3. 3. Configure the APP to the Switch

    Preparation: Ensure the switch has been connected with electricity; ensure your phone has been connected to Wi-Fi and is able to connect to the Internet.

    Note: The switch only supports 2.4G network. If you have connected to a 5G network, please disconnect the 5G network first and connect to a 2.4G network.

    3.1 Wi-Fi Link Method (New Updated)

    1. Make sure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
    2. Long press the button for 6 seconds until the blue indicator light flashes fast.
    3. Open Smart Life/Tuya App and click "+", then the prompt page will automatically show on the screen. Click "Go to add".
    4. Select the device you want to add and click "Add".
    5. Enter Wi-Fi Password and click "Confirm", waiting for completing the connection.
    6. Add the device successfully, you can edit the name of the device to enter the device page by clicking "Done".

    How to reset/repair Wi-Fi code: Press and hold the button for about 6 seconds, until the blue indicator on the switch flashes fast after 3 seconds. Reset/repair is successful.

Integrate with Alexa

  1. 1. Link Smart Life Skill in Alexa App

    Complete product networking configuration in the App. Note: In the App, change the name of the device to an easily identifiable name such as "bed light".

  2. 2. Configure the Amazon Echo Device

    Ensure your Amazon Echo device is powered on and connected to a Wi-Fi network. Open the Alexa App, log in, tap the menu, select "Settings", and tap "Set Up A New Device" (choose a device like Echo).

    Choose your Amazon Echo device type and language. Press and hold the small dot on the device until the light turns yellow. Tap "Continue" to connect to the hotspot.

    After connecting to the Amazon Echo hotspot, return to the page. The connection is successful.

    Tap "Continue" to proceed. Choose a Wi-Fi network. Amazon Echo will take a few minutes to connect. After successful connection, tap "Continue". An introduction video will appear. After the video ends, tap "Continue" to jump to the Alexa Home page.

  3. 3. Link Skill

    Tap "Skills" in the Alexa App menu. Search for "Smart Life" (or the App Name). Tap "Enable" to enable the Skill.

    Enter the App account and password, then tap "Link Now" to link your App account to enable the Skill.

  4. 4. Common Commands

    Control the device via voice commands. Examples:

    • "Alexa, turn on/off bedroom light."
    • "Alexa, set bedroom light to 50 percent."
    • "Alexa, brighten/dim bedroom light."
    • "Alexa, set bedroom light to green."

Service

1. During the free warranty period, if the product breaks down during normal use, we will offer free maintenance for the product.
