Important Information

Battery

The battery installed at the factory may be depleted during shipping and storage. If you notice the first signs of insufficient power (dim display), replace the battery at your nearest authorized CASIO service center or CASIO dealer.

Water Resistance

For all categories of watches, do not:

If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it.

Do not wear a watch with a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.

Watches are classified by water resistance levels (I to V) according to their protection against water. Check your watch's rating to ensure correct usage:

Rating Marking Splash, Rain, Washing Swimming, Snorkeling Diving
I(No marking)NoNoNo
IIWATER RESISTANTYesNoNo
III50 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNo
IV100 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes
V200 M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes

Notes:

Watch Care

Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.

Although designed for active daily use, handle the watch carefully and avoid dropping it.

Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to slip a finger between your wrist and the strap.

Clean the watch and strap using a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a water solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile substances such as gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.

When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.

Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.

Some watch models feature silk-screened images on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging these designs.

For watches with plastic bands: You may find a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by simply wiping with a cloth. Exposure of the plastic band to sweat or moisture, or storing it in high humidity conditions, can cause damage, breakage, or cracking of the band. To ensure a long service life for the plastic band, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.

For watches with fluorescent cases and bands: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually disappear. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other damp surface can cause the fluorescent color to discolor. Check that moisture is removed from the fluorescent surface and avoid contact with other surfaces.

Strong friction of a surface with applied fluorescent paint against another surface can cause the fluorescent paint to transfer to that surface.

In case of sharp temperature changes during use, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to physical laws and is not a defect.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of this watch and does not accept any claims from third parties.

Operating Modes

General Operation

Button C is used to switch between modes.

Pressing button A in any mode (except during a setting mode when a parameter indicator is flashing) will illuminate the digital display for approximately 2 seconds.

Diagram Description: The watch has four main buttons labeled A, B, C, and E. Button C cycles through modes: Current Time, Current Date, Alarm, Stopwatch, and Dual Time. Button A activates the backlight.

Current Time Mode

The current time is displayed in both analog and digital formats. The digital and analog times are set separately.

Diagram Description: Shows a digital display showing time (e.g., 10:08 35) with mode indicators (AL ST DL) and an analog watch face.

Setting Current Time

1. In the Current Time Mode, press and hold button B for about 2 seconds until ADJ appears on the digital display. When ADJ disappears, the year digits will flash. Release button B.

2. Use button B to select the parameter to be set in the sequence shown in the diagram.

3. Use button C to set the selected parameter. Each press of button C increases the value by one. Holding button C speeds up the value change.

Diagram Description: Illustrates the sequence of setting: Seconds (flashing), Hours, Minutes, and 12/24 Hour Format. Button B is used to select, Button C to adjust.

To reset seconds to 00, select the seconds parameter (flashing) and press button C. If the current seconds value is between 30 and 59, the minutes value will increase by 1. If it is between 00 and 29, the minutes value will not change.

When setting minutes or hours (flashing digits), each press of button C increases the value by one. Holding button C speeds up the value change.

Each press of button C while setting the 12/24 hour format will toggle the display format.

If no operation is performed for several minutes while in a setting mode (flashing digits), the watch will automatically return to the Current Time Mode.

Setting Analog Time

Perform the steps in this section if the analog hands display a time different from the current digital time.

The minute hand moves every 1/3 of a minute when the seconds on the digital display reach 00, 20, and 40.

In any mode, press button A to move the minute hand forward by 20 seconds. Hold button A to move the minute hand forward rapidly.

Diagram Description: Shows an analog watch face with buttons A and B indicated, and the digital display showing time.

Be careful: the minute hand only moves forward. Do not miss the desired value when setting the analog time.

Alarm Mode

When the alarm signal is on, it sounds daily at the set time for 20 seconds.

Diagram Description: Shows the Alarm Mode display with time and alarm indicators.

Setting the Alarm

1. In the Alarm Mode, press and hold button B for about 2 seconds until ADJ appears on the digital display. When ADJ disappears, the alarm hour digits will flash. Release button B.

2. Use button B to select the parameter to be set in the sequence shown in the diagram.

3. Use button C to set the selected parameter. Holding button C speeds up the value change.

Diagram Description: Illustrates setting the alarm hours and minutes using buttons B and C.

The time display format (12/24-hour) in the Alarm Mode matches the format set in the Current Time Mode.

When setting the alarm time in 12-hour format, pay attention to AM/PM.

If no operation is performed for several minutes while in the alarm time setting mode (flashing digits), the watch will automatically return to the Alarm Mode.

After setting the alarm time, the alarm signal turns on automatically.

Alarm On/Off

To turn the alarm signal on or off in the Alarm Mode, press button B.

Diagram Description: Shows the transition from Alarm ON indicator (AL) to Alarm OFF indicator (OFF AL) by pressing button B.

Checking the Alarm

In the Alarm Mode, press and hold button C until the alarm sounds.

Stopwatch Mode

In the Stopwatch Mode, you can measure elapsed time. The stopwatch capacity is 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. The unit of measurement for elapsed time within the first hour is 1/100 of a second; thereafter, it is 1 second.

Measuring Elapsed Time

1. In the Stopwatch Mode, press button B to start the elapsed time measurement.

2. Press button B again to stop the elapsed time measurement.

Steps 1 and 2 can be repeated as many times as needed.

3. Press and hold button B to reset the measurement result.

Diagram Description: Shows the Stopwatch Mode display with units for hours, minutes, seconds, and 1/100 seconds. Buttons A and B are indicated for operation.

Dual Time Mode

The Dual Time Mode displays the time in another time zone.

Diagram Description: Shows the Dual Time Mode display with time (e.g., 8:08 35) and mode indicators.

Setting Dual Time

1. In the Dual Time Mode, press and hold button B for about 2 seconds until ADJ appears on the digital display. When ADJ disappears, the dual time hour digits will flash. Release button B.

2. Use button B to select the parameter to be set in the sequence shown in the diagram.

3. Use button C to set the selected parameter. Holding button C speeds up the value change.

Diagram Description: Illustrates setting the dual time hours and minutes using buttons B and C.

The time display format (12/24-hour) in the Dual Time Mode matches the format set in the Current Time Mode.

The seconds of the Dual Time Mode are synchronized with the seconds of the Current Time Mode.

If no operation is performed for several minutes while in the dual time setting mode (flashing digits), the watch will automatically return to the Dual Time Mode.

Backlight

In any mode, except during a setting mode (when a parameter indicator is flashing on the digital display), press button A to illuminate the watch's digital display for 2 seconds.

The LED that provides the backlight will gradually lose its power over time.

The backlight is difficult to see when the watch is exposed to direct sunlight.

When the backlight is on, the watch emits a faint sound. This is not an indication of malfunction.

When any alarm sounds, the backlight turns off automatically.

Frequent use of the backlight will shorten the battery life.
