Important Information

Battery

If you notice faint display or lack of backlight, replace the battery at a CASIO dealer. The battery included may be for testing purposes and have a shorter life than a standard battery.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by water resistance rating (I to V). Refer to the table below to understand usage rules.

Case Marking Splashes, Rain, etc. Washing, Machines, etc. Swimming, Diving, etc. Scuba Diving
I No No No No
II WATER RESISTANT Yes No No No
III 50M WATER RESISTANT Yes Yes No No
IV 100M WATER RESISTANT Yes Yes Yes No
V 200M WATER RESISTANT / 300M WATER RESISTANT Yes Yes Yes Yes

Notes:

  • I: Not water resistant. Avoid all moisture.
  • III: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
  • IV: If exposed to salt water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry.
  • V: Suitable for scuba diving (excluding saturation diving requiring helium-gas mixtures).

CAUTION!!! For all watch categories, do not:

  • Press buttons underwater
  • Unscrew the crown underwater

IMPORTANT!!!

Some water-resistant watches have leather bands. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in other activities that may submerge the band in water.

Watch Care

  • Replace the gasket protecting the watch from water and dust every 2-3 years.
  • If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by a CASIO dealer.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme high or low temperatures.
  • While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.
  • Do not wear the band too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the band.
  • Clean the watch and band with a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile solvents (e.g., benzine, thinners, spray cleaners).
  • Store the watch in a dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid contact with benzine, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions can damage gaskets, cases, and finishes.
  • Some models have silk-screened designs on the band. Clean these carefully to avoid damaging the designs.

For watches with resin bands...

  • You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This is harmless and can be wiped off with a soft cloth.
  • Exposure to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity, can damage or crack the resin band. To ensure longevity, wipe the band clean with a soft cloth frequently.

For watches with fluorescent cases and bands...

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to fade.
  • Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to fade. If the watch gets wet, dry it as soon as possible.
  • Contact with damp surfaces may cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Keep the fluorescent surface dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the paint.
