Installation Steps
The installation process involves several steps, illustrated with diagrams. Ensure all parts are correctly aligned and secured.
Step 1: Preparation
Prepare the door and the lock mechanism according to the provided diagrams. Ensure the correct spindle is used (Only SALTO spindle).
Step 2: Mortise Lock Installation
Install the mortise lock into the door. The diagrams show the placement of the lock and related components.
Step 3: Handle and Cylinder Installation
Attach the handles and cylinder. Ensure the groove on the handle mechanism aligns with the grub screw on the same side.
Step 4: Mounting the Lock Body
Mount the main lock body onto the door, ensuring proper alignment between the outside and inside components.
Step 5: Removing the Electronic Module
Carefully remove the electronic module from the reader unit as indicated.
Step 6: Aligning Components
Align the outside and inside components of the lock. Secure the alignment with a screw.
Step 7: Inserting Batteries
Insert the batteries (LR03) into the lock mechanism.
Step 8: Connecting Cables
Connect the reader cable and the lock cable. For the AE9W model, the wireless cable may also be connected.
Step 9: Finalizing Installation
Important: Do not close the door until the lock is programmed. Follow the user manual for programming instructions.
Step 10 & 11: Securing the Lock
Secure the lock components using the provided screws, including the Torx T10 TAMPER screws.
Important Notes
- Using non-SALTO spindles will void the warranty.
- Screws and spindles are included in the reader's box.
