Fitting Instructions
- Remove the towing eye from the chassis member. (This is not refitted with the towbar.)
- Using Item E with Item F loosely bolt Item A to existing fixing points in each chassis member.
- Using Item E with Item F loosely bolt Item B to existing fixing points in each chassis member and to Item A.
- Using item D with Item C bolt the ball bracket and wiring plate (not supplied in this kit) to the mounting plate.
- Fully tighten all nuts and bolts and ensure the towbar is rigid and secure.
Diagram Description
A line drawing illustrates the Tow-Trust TL260 towbar assembly for the LDV Maxus Van. The main towbar component (Item A) is shown mounted to the vehicle's chassis. Two angle brackets (Item B) are positioned on each side, connecting the towbar to the chassis. A coupling spacer (Item C) is depicted, which attaches to a mounting plate using M16 bolts (Item D). The diagram indicates that M10 bolts (Item E) and M10 flat washers (Item F) are used for securing the towbar (A) and angle brackets (B) to the chassis and to each other. Various attachment points are clearly marked with corresponding item letters (A, B, C, D, E, F).
Note: Nose load limits and vehicle manufacturers trailer / caravan weight limits must be observed.
