Q&A: Multimedia and Network Download Functions
- Software Update Precautions:
- Do not turn off the device during the update process.
- Do not use the remote control during the update process.
- Updates may take time (approx. 5 minutes), but network download speed can affect the duration. Be patient.
- No Obvious Changes After Update: Updates may add new features, improve performance, or change the interface. Sometimes, changes are only performance improvements without visible interface modifications.
- Update Interruption: If the update is interrupted due to power loss:
- If a USB drive is inserted, do not remove it; restarting the USB drive may allow the update to resume.
- If the USB drive update fails, try turning the device off and on again.
- If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- USB Device Not Detected:
- Possible causes: faulty USB drive or insufficient power.
- For faulty drives, connect to a computer for repair. Right-click the drive, select "Properties", then "Tools".
- Insufficient power (indicated by a "click" sound) can prevent USB drives from functioning. USB devices require 5V and 500mA-700mA.
- If power is insufficient, use both USB ports simultaneously with a Y-cable or an external power adapter (ensure compatibility).
- Start the machine before inserting the USB drive.
HDMI Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting
- HDMI Fault:
- Check cable connections between the device and the connected equipment. Reconnect the HDMI cable if necessary.
- Verify that the external device's resolution meets the device's requirements.
- No Image, No Sound:
- Check if the power outlet switch is on.
- Check the power line connection.
- Check the signal source.
- Disordered Image Ripples: Usually caused by local interference (e.g., cars, fluorescent lamps, hairdryers).
- No Color: A black screen in computer mode (when used as a monitor) may be due to unrecognized resolution settings. Switch to the optimal resolution or standard Windows resolutions.
- Normal Image, No Sound: If the volume is off, press the volume + button. If there is no physical volume button, adjust volume in system settings.
- Sound Without Image: Adjust the analog brightness level.
- Sparkle Interference: Black dots, horizontal lines, or flickering images are often caused by power systems, neon lights, electric drills, or other electronic devices.
