Dear customers, this manual provides comprehensive information for the effective use of your TCL Digital Signage device. Please read it carefully. Functional differences due to product upgrades are subject to change without prior notice.
Safety Warnings
General Precautions:
- Keep the device in a well-ventilated environment.
- Do not cover vent holes with items like newspapers or curtains.
- Do not place open flame sources, such as lit candles, on the device.
- Avoid exposing the device to drops, splashes, or placing liquid-filled objects like vases on it.
- To prevent tipping, ensure the device is securely positioned within its bracket and not on unstable surfaces.
- The device must be securely secured to the wall by professionals.
- Devices of Class I construction (with a three-core grounded power cord) must be connected to a grounded power outlet.
- Ensure reliable grounding for Class I devices when connected to a multimedia system that also includes Class II devices.
- Communication and wired network connections must meet isolation requirements. The power plug serves as the disconnecting device and must remain accessible.
- Terminals marked with a live symbol are dangerous and should only be connected by trained personnel.
- Allow the device to acclimatize to room temperature after moving it from a cold environment to prevent condensation.
- Keep batteries away from sunlight, fire, or overheating. Recycle waste batteries according to local regulations.
- The symbol ⏁ indicates fuses on the neutral line of single-phase equipment. Components may remain live after fuse activation, posing a danger during maintenance.
Attention:
- Improper battery replacement can lead to explosion risk. Use only the same or equivalent battery type.
Warning:
- To prevent injury, securely fix the device to the wall according to installation instructions.
- The wired network antenna must be isolated from protective grounding to prevent fire hazards.
Device Stability
The device may tip over, causing serious injury or death. Never place the device in an unstable position.
To prevent injuries, especially to children:
- Use cabinets or supports recommended by the manufacturer.
- Use only furniture that can safely support the device.
- Ensure the device does not protrude over the edge of the supporting furniture.
- Do not place the device on high furniture without securing both the furniture and the device.
- Avoid placing the device on fabrics or other materials between the device and furniture.
- Educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the device.
- When relocating an existing device, follow these precautions.
Safety Signs
Pay attention to the following safety signs:
- Altitude: Suitable for use in areas below 5000m.
- Climate: Suitable for use in non-tropical climate conditions.
Caution
- Moving the Device: Ensure the power plug is removed and all cables are disconnected. At least two people are needed. Move the device upright only.
- Thunderstorms: Do not touch power cords or connected wires during thunderstorms.
- Damage: If the device falls or the casing is damaged, turn it off immediately, unplug it, and contact service technicians.
- Repairs: Do not repair, modify, or disassemble the device without authorization. Contact service technicians for any faults.
- Smoke/Smell: If the device breaks down, emits smoke, or a peculiar smell, turn it off immediately, unplug it, and contact service technicians after the issue subsides.
- Cleaning: Unplug the power cord before cleaning. Do not use gasoline, thinner, or solvents. Wipe the casing with a soft dry cloth. Gently wipe the LCD with a soft dry cloth. Do not use a wet cloth.
- Long Periods of Non-Use: Unplug the power cord when the device is not in use for extended periods (e.g., vacation). The device consumes power even in standby mode.
- Stability: Do not stand on or climb on the device.
Environmental Precautions and Instructions
Protecting the environment is a shared responsibility. Consider the following for energy saving:
- Turn off the power switch when the device is not in use to save energy.
- The device consumes power in standby mode. Turn off the power switch for prolonged periods of non-use.
- Reduce power consumption during use by lowering display luminance. Select appropriate operating modes and adjust backlight luminance if available.

Wall Mounting
Installation Steps:
- Remove screws from the rear cover mounting holes. (Note: Screw count may vary.)
- Use VESA screws (M6x16) to secure the mount to the device's top VESA holes.
- Mount installation is complete.
- Hang the device on the wall following the mount instructions.
Installation Types: Horizontal installation, Vertical installation.

Remote Control Keys and Instructions
Schematic Diagram of Remote Control
- MUTE: Switches mute and audio state.
- POWER (STANDBY/ON): Turns the device on or puts it into standby.
- Number Keys (0-9): Select numbers.
- HOME: Displays the home page.
- OK: Confirms selections.
- RETURN: Returns to the previous menu or interface.
- VOL +/-: Adjusts volume.
- SETUP: Displays and exits the menu.
- MENU: Displays and exits menu options.
- Arrow Keys (Up/Down/Left/Right): Navigate menus and options.
- SOURCE: Displays and exits source options.
Installation Diagram of Remote Control Batteries
- Push aside the battery compartment cover.
- Place two AAA batteries, observing polarity.
- Push to close the battery compartment cover.
Note: Diagrams are for reference only and may vary by model.
Precautions for Remote Control Use
- Aim the remote control at the screen's reception area for operation. Obstructions may cause malfunction.
- Replace batteries promptly if the remote control operates abnormally. Do not mix new and old batteries or different battery types.
- Low battery power may cause electrolyte leakage, damaging the remote control. Replace batteries immediately when power is low.
- Remove batteries if the remote control is not used for a long time to prevent leakage.
- Store the remote control in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Remote Control Lock: To unlock, press "1003" then "OK", or "Up/Down/Left/Right" then "OK".
Connection
Device Terminal Interface
- Network Interface: RJ45 port for wired network connection.
- To MDC via RS232 adapter: For serial communication.
- Computer/Set-top box/DVD player: Connect via HDMI/DP for audio-visual input.
- USB Storage Device: Connect for media playback.
- Home Audio System: Connect for digital voice signal input.
- To external infrared cable: For receiving remote control signals.
Connection Tips:
- Place the power cord in the left trunking and arrange other external device wires sequentially from right to left.
- HDMI ports support HDMI 2.1; HDMI 1/2 support 4K@60Hz. Ensure external devices use compatible versions to avoid malfunction.
- DP interface (TM series only) supports 4K@60Hz. Actual performance may vary.
Wired Network Connection
- Select "Automatically Obtain IP Address" for DHCP or "Manually Set IP Address" for static IP configuration.
- Follow on-screen prompts to enter IP address details using the remote control's navigation keys and "OK" button. Press "Return" to exit the keyboard and "Connect" to establish the connection.
Wireless Network Connection
- Navigate to Settings > All Settings > Network > Wireless Network > Wi-Fi Switch to connect to a wireless network.
Troubleshooting Tip: If experiencing intermittent blurred-screen display, reposition the router about 30 cm away from the device to minimize interference.
Device Appearance
Components:
- Remote Sensor: Located at the front of the device for receiving remote control signals.
- Key Box: Contains buttons for basic control. Can be extended from the bottom.
- Power Button: Located on the key box for turning the device on/off.
- Power Supply: Connects to the power source.
Remote Operation Range:
- Front Sensor: Operate within 2.5m to 4m distance, up to 30° left/right angle.
- Bottom Sensor: Operate within 7m to 10m distance, up to 30° left/right angle.
Usage Notes:
- Point the remote control towards the sensor for operation.
- Using other display devices with the same remote may cause unintended control.
Basic Functions of Device
- Startup: Connect the AC power supply; the device starts automatically. Press the power button (on remote or device) to start from standby.
- Shutdown: Short press the power button on the remote to enter standby. Short press the standby button on the device to enter standby. Unplug the power cord for prolonged power failure or out-of-service periods.
- Function Entry: From the home page, use Left/Right arrow keys to select functions. The selected function's application will display when highlighted.
Multimedia, Network Download Function Questions and Answers
Software Upgrade
- During Upgrade: Do not power off, use the remote control, or interrupt the process. Downloads may take time depending on network speed.
- No Obvious Change After Upgrade: Upgrades may add new functions, improve performance, or have no visible interface changes.
- Upgrade Interruption: If a USB disk is inserted, try restarting with the USB disk. If no USB disk was used, turn off and restart the device. Contact customer service if issues persist.
USB Device Detection
- Possible Causes: Faulty mobile hard disk or insufficient power supply.
- Troubleshooting:
- Repair the mobile hard disk using computer tools (check properties > tools).
- Ensure sufficient power (5V, 500mA-700mA). If power is insufficient, use a Y-cable or external power supply.
- Start the machine before inserting the USB disk.
Fault Analysis and Troubleshooting HDMI
- HDMI Failure: Check cable connection and external device resolution settings.
- No Picture, No Sound: Check power outlet switch, power line connection, and signal source.
- Messy Ripples on Image: Usually caused by local interference (e.g., cars, fluorescent lamps).
- No Color: May be due to unrecognized computer resolution. Change to optimal or standard Windows resolutions.
- Normal Picture, No Sound: Check volume settings. Adjust volume using the remote's volume keys or system settings.
- Sound But No Picture: Adjust brightness.
- Spark Interference (Black dots, horizontal stripes): Often caused by ignition systems, neon lights, electric drills, or other electronic devices.
Disclaimer
Warranty Bill and Purchase Invoice: Keep these documents as proof of purchase for free maintenance service within the warranty period.
Valid Warranty Certificate:
- Product failure within the warranty period entitles consumers to free maintenance service with the purchase invoice and Warranty Bill. The serial number must match.
- If no purchase invoice is available, the warranty period starts 30 days from the manufacture date indicated by the serial number. Service without these documents will be charged.
- Installation and debugging records alone are not sufficient; they must be accompanied by valid invoices.
Warranty Exclusions (to the maximum extent permitted by law):
- Improper setup, installation, positioning, or adjustment of settings.
- Normal wear and tear.
- Product not used or maintained according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Unauthorized dismantling, repair, servicing, or modification.
- Use of defective or incompatible parts or accessories.
- Accidents, theft, vandalism, misuse, abuse, negligence, collision, computer viruses, fire, flood, liquid spillage, earthquake, thunderstorm, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond TCL's control.
- Defective pixels within acceptable limits as per manufacturer specifications (less than 12 defective pixels). A normal limitation of LCD/plasma technology is the possibility of some bright/dark pixels.
- Exposure to excessive heat, moisture, dust, rodents, insects, rust, corrosion, salt build-up, or inadequate ventilation.
- Permanent screen damage from prolonged display of still or repetitive images.
- Electrical issues like power surges, spikes, dips, or voltage/current fluctuations.
- External interference from other products or sources.
- Incompatibility or improper configuration of connected equipment.
- Inability to read or output damaged or copied media.
- Errors or failures in third-party software applications, content, or services accessed via the product.
- Use of equipment, systems, utilities, services, applications, parts, or items not supplied or authorized by TCL.
- Cosmetic, structural, or mounting items, including brackets, wall mounts, shelves, or doors.
- Consumables (bulbs, globes, batteries, cables) or lost parts/accessories.
Warranty Void Conditions:
- Product not purchased as new from TCL or an authorized retailer.
- Product serial number damaged, modified, or removed.
- Internal hardware or software tampered with without TCL's prior authority.
- Breach of any warranty provision.
Out-of-Warranty Service: Services for products beyond the warranty period or scope will be charged according to the prescribed standard.
