Connecting the Transceiver

Plug the DEM-211 transceiver into the SFP port of your switch. Connect a fiber cable to the DEM-211 transceiver to connect your switch to fiber media.

The DEM-211 transceiver is hot-pluggable. This means you can connect or disconnect the transceiver while the system is powered on without causing any issues or interrupting network operation.

Safety Precautions and Operating Conditions

Before installation and connection, carefully read this section. Ensure the device and cables are free from mechanical damage. Use the device only as intended, following this quick installation guide.

The device is designed for operation in a dry, clean, dust-free, and well-ventilated environment with normal humidity, away from strong heat sources. Do not use it outdoors or in areas with high humidity. Do not place foreign objects on the device. The ambient temperature around the device and within its casing should be between 0 and +70 °C.

The power supply must match the device's technical specifications. Do not open the device casing! Before cleaning, disconnect the device's power. Remove dust using a damp cloth. Do not use liquid/aerosol cleaners or magnetic/static devices for cleaning. Avoid moisture ingress into the device.

The service life of the device is 2 years. The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase from an official dealer in Russia and CIS countries and is one year. Regardless of the purchase date, the warranty period cannot exceed 2 years from the manufacturing date, which is determined by the 6th (year) and 7th (month) digits of the serial number.

Year Codes: C–2012, D–2013, E–2014, F–2015, G–2016, H–2017, I–2018, J–2019, 0–2020, 1–2021.

Month Codes: 1–January, 2–February, ..., 9–September, A–October, B–November, C–December.
