Connecting the Transceiver
Plug the DEM-431XT transceiver into the SFP+ port of your switch. Connect a fiber cable to the DEM-431XT transceiver to connect your switch to fiber media.
The DEM-431XT transceiver is hot pluggable. You can connect or disconnect the transceiver while the system is powered on without causing any issues or interrupting network operation.
Safety and Operating Conditions
Carefully read this section before installing and connecting the device. Ensure the device and cables are free from mechanical damage. Use the device only as intended, in accordance with this quick installation guide.
The device is designed for operation in dry, clean, dust-free, and well-ventilated areas, away from strong heat sources. Do not use it outdoors or in areas with high humidity. Do not place foreign objects on the device. The ambient temperature in the immediate vicinity of the device and inside its casing should be within the range of 0 to +70 °C.
Power supply must comply with the parameters specified in the device's technical specifications.
Do not open the device casing! Before cleaning the device from dirt and dust, disconnect the device's power. Remove dust using a damp cloth. Do not use liquid/aerosol cleaners or magnetic/static devices for cleaning. Avoid moisture ingress into the device.
Device service life: 2 years.
The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase from an official dealer in the CIS countries and is one year. Regardless of the sales date, the warranty period cannot exceed 2 years from the manufacturing date, which is determined by the 6th (year) and 7th (month) digits of the serial number indicated on the technical data label.
Year mapping: C – 2012, D – 2013, E – 2014, F – 2015, G – 2016, H – 2017, I – 2018, J – 2019, 0 – 2020, 1 – 2021.
Month mapping: 1 – January, 2 – February, ..., 9 – September, A – October, B – November, C – December.
If a device malfunction is detected, contact a service center or D-Link technical support group.
