Quick Installation Guide

Product Overview

The DEM-310GT is a 1000Base-LX Single-Mode SFP transceiver designed for connecting switches to fiber optic networks, supporting distances up to 10 km.

Connecting the Transceiver

To connect your switch to fiber media, plug the DEM-310GT transceiver into an available SFP port on your switch. Then, connect a fiber optic cable to the DEM-310GT transceiver.

The DEM-310GT transceiver is hot-pluggable. This means you can connect or disconnect it while the system is powered on without causing any issues or interrupting network operations.

Safety Instructions

Ensure the device and cables have no mechanical damage.
Use the device only for its intended purpose, as described in this guide.
Operate the device in a dry, clean, dust-free, and well-ventilated area, away from strong heat sources.
Do not use the device outdoors or in areas with high humidity.

The ambient temperature near the device and within its enclosure should be between 0 °C and +70 °C.
Ensure the power supply meets the device's specifications.
Do not open the device enclosure.
Before cleaning, disconnect the device from power. Clean dust with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid liquid or aerosol cleaners, and magnetic/static devices. Prevent moisture from entering the device.
The service life of the device is 2 years.
The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase from an official dealer, but does not exceed two years from the manufacturing date (indicated by serial number).
If the device malfunctions, contact a service center or D-Link technical support.
