Step 1: Preparing to Mount the Camera
- Ensure the mounting surface can support five times the camera's weight.
- Prevent cables from getting caught to avoid damage to the electric line cover, which could cause shorts or fires.
- Caution: Servicing should only be performed by qualified personnel. Do not perform servicing beyond operating instructions unless qualified.
- The product requires a UL Listed Power Supply Unit marked "Class 2", "LPS", or "PS2" with a rating of 12 Vdc, 0.43A minimum.
- For Power over Ethernet (PoE), the LAN hub must be UL Listed and comply with IEEE 802.3af, with its output evaluated as a Limited Power Source (UL60950-1 or PS2 as defined in UL62368-1).
- Installation is intended for a Network Environment 0 (IEC TR 62102), meaning Ethernet wiring should be limited to inside the building.
- Install the moisture packet in the camera's lens base:
- Remove the moisture absorber from its packaging.
- Cut the card and folder along the dotted line.
- Place the moisture absorber behind the camera's lens module. Refer to the diagram for placement details.
- Use the mounting template or the camera itself to mark and drill holes in the wall or ceiling.
Diagram Description (Moisture Absorber Attachment): Diagram shows the placement of the moisture absorber behind the camera's lens module. An o-ring is indicated for sealing between points 'a' and 'b'. For extreme environments, outdoor-rated sealer is recommended.
Step 2: Powering the Camera
Pass wires through the mount bracket and make necessary connections.
- For PoE switches, connect the camera using an Ethernet cable for both data and power.
- For non-PoE switches, connect the camera via Ethernet cable for data and use a separate power adapter.
Power Requirements:
- DC 12V: max 5.2W
- PoE (IEEE 802.3af Class 3): max 7.0W
(Power adapter not included)
Diagram Description (Connections): Shows an Ethernet cable connecting to the camera's network port and a power connection. It also indicates a mounting template.
Step 3: Installing the Camera
- The waterproof cap set includes two rubber rings: black (internal diameter Ø0.15" (ø4mm)) and white (internal diameter Ø0.19" (ø5mm)). Select the ring that best fits your network cable's diameter.
- Route the LAN cable through the waterproof cap, gasket, and the selected rubber ring.
- Connect the LAN cable to the camera's network port.
- Affix the waterproof cap by turning it clockwise (approximately 1½ turns) until securely tightened.
- Mount the camera to the surface using the provided screws and wall anchors.
- Adjust the camera's pan (0°-360°), tilt (0°-90°), and rotation (0°-360°) for the desired view.
- To adjust focus and zoom:
- Remove the sun-shield and front case by rotating counter-clockwise.
- Unlock the zoom or focus screws by rotating them counter-clockwise.
- Adjust the zoom and focus screws at the base of the camera module for a clear image.
- Tighten the screws and re-attach the front case by rotating clockwise.
Diagram Description (Waterproof Cap & Cable): Diagram illustrates the assembly of the waterproof cap, gasket, and rubber ring onto the LAN cable. It shows the cable passing through these components before connecting to the camera. Notes specify rubber ring selection based on cable thickness (black for Ø4.5mm-Ø5.5mm, white for >Ø5.5mm) and recommend an o-ring for moisture seal.
Diagram Description (Focus/Zoom/Reset): Diagram highlights the location of the focus and zoom adjustment screws at the base of the camera module. It also points out the reset button, which requires a paper clip or pencil tip for activation. Pressing the button for five seconds triggers a full camera reset.
Resetting the Camera: Use a paper clip or pencil tip to press the reset button. Holding the button for five seconds will reset all camera settings, including network configurations.

- Default TCP/IP information is DHCP.
Note: Port forwarding must be configured on your router to access the camera from an external network.
Diagram Description (DW IP Finder Interface): The interface includes controls for scanning networks, filtering results, managing thumbnail views, assigning IP addresses and passwords in bulk, and performing firmware upgrades. It displays camera information such as name, IP address, MAC address, firmware version, and uptime, along with options to access IP configuration settings and ping the camera.
Step 5: Web Viewer
Once network settings are configured, access the camera's web viewer using DW IP Finder.
- Find the camera using DW IP Finder.
- Double-click the camera's view in the results table.
