This table outlines common statuses, their explanations, and recommended resolutions.
Status | Explanation | Resolution |
---|---|---|
[Output Exceeds Standard/Short Circuit Icon] Icon flashes and buzzes | The output exceeds the standard and it's short-circuited. | 1. Remove the output device. 2. Press the power/USB button briefly to deactivate the alarm. |
[Temperature Warning Icon] The temperature warning icon flashes and buzzes | This product has surpassed the recommended temperature limit. | Remove all loads, disconnect the power source, and allow the unit to cool down to an appropriate temperature (between -10°C to 40°C) before proceeding. |
[Charging Unavailable Icon] S1 S2 | Parallel connection failure; there is a disruption between the EB3840 and PS3600 PRO. | 1. Disconnect the parallel connection. 2. Charge the unit with low battery capacity or discharge the unit with high battery capacity until the battery level drops below 80%. |
5. PS3600 PRO Connection
The EB3840 can be connected in parallel with the iTechworld PS3600 PRO power station to expand capacity.
Connection Capacity: You can connect a maximum of two (2) EB3840 units to a PS3600 PRO (sold separately) for a total capacity of up to 11,520Wh, using parallel cables.
Procedure:
- Ensure both the PS3600 PRO and EB3840 units are powered OFF before making any connections.
- Once connected, the screen will display "S1" and "S2" to indicate parallel operation.
- After successful parallel connection, the EB3840 can begin charging or discharging.
- Note that the EB3840 may charge at a slower rate when nearly full and discharge faster when in high demand.
- If there is no external charge, the unit with a higher charge state will charge the unit with a lower charge state. The display will show the current power status.
Important Safety Note:
- Never connect or disconnect the parallel cable while the products are operational.
- Only connect or disconnect the cable when the products are powered OFF to prevent electrical hazards or malfunctions.
WARNING: Do not connect or disconnect the EB3840 to a PS3600 PRO whilst switched ON.
6. Solar Panel Charging
The EB3840 can be charged using compatible solar panels.
Charging Guidelines:
- Do not charge the EB3840 via a solar panel that has a voltage exceeding 50V.
- The unit supports a maximum solar input of 200W. Charging time depends on the solar panel's input wattage. (Solar panels are not included).
- For optimal operation, ensure there is no regulator in the solar charging line. The EB3840 contains a built-in regulator, so unregulated solar power should be input directly.
Connecting Patterns:
Connecting Pattern 1:
Description: A single solar panel is connected to the EB3840 via an XT60 port using a 50A Anderson to XT60 adapter.
Connecting Pattern 2:
Description: Multiple solar panels (e.g., two) are connected in series or parallel to the EB3840 via an XT60 port using a 50A Anderson to XT60 adapter.
7. Car/Vehicle Charging
The EB3840 can be charged from a vehicle's power outlet.
Procedure:
- Use the provided car charger cable for vehicle charging.
- Car chargers typically offer lower power outputs (around 90-120 watts), which may result in extended charging times.
- For a quicker charge, it is recommended to connect the EB3840 in parallel to a PS3600 PRO that is connected to a power source. This method can charge the unit from 0-100% in approximately 3 hours.
Diagram Description: The EB3840 is shown connected to a vehicle's power outlet via an XT60 port using a car charging cable.
