⚠️ CAUTION – RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Leaks or the escape of water can lead to danger to life from electric shock. Check all connections for leaks carefully. Ensure that all cables from electrical devices are correctly and safely installed.

⚠️ CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY!

Please ensure that no parts are damaged and that all parts are correctly assembled. Incorrect assembly could lead to injury. Note that seals and washers are wear parts and require periodic replacement. Damaged parts can adversely affect safety and proper function.

Proper Use

This product is suitable for all pressure-tight hot water systems such as central heating boilers, instantaneous water heaters, and pressurized boilers. It is not suitable for low-pressure water heaters (e.g., wood/coal burning bath geysers, oil/gas bath geysers, open electrically heated water tanks). Consult a plumber or heating engineer if in doubt. Any use other than described or modification of the product is not permitted and may lead to damage to persons or property, including risk of injury or death. The product is intended for personal use only, not for medical or commercial use. The manufacturer accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from improper use.

Installation

Installing the Tap

Turn off the main water supply to prevent leakage. Drain any remaining water from the pipes. Install the tap as shown in diagrams A to G. ⚠️ CAUTION: Do not bend or tension the hoses, as this can cause material damage.

Flushing the Tap

Before first use, flush the tap to remove dirt. Steps: Unscrew the aerator [2]. Open the main water supply and let water run for two minutes. Screw the aerator [2] back on.

Setting the Temperature Limiter

The cartridge [21] has a temperature limiter, which is not activated from the factory (neutral setting). ⚠️ CAUTION: Adjust the temperature limiter only after the tap is installed. Follow diagrams I & J for adjustment:

  1. Turn off the main water supply.
  2. Carefully remove the small plastic cover [18] with a flat screwdriver.
  3. Loosen the locking screw [19] counter-clockwise with a hexagonal key. ⚠️ CAUTION: Do not remove the screw completely; just loosen it enough to remove the control lever [17].
  4. Remove the control lever [17].
  5. Loosen the cartridge covering ring [20] by hand.
  6. Pull the setting ring [15] upwards with a screwdriver. Note: Do not remove the cartridge [21].
  7. Place the setting ring [15] in the desired position (see Fig. J).
  8. Tighten the cartridge covering ring [20] by hand.
  9. Place the control lever [17] back onto the tap body [16]. Tighten the locking screw [19] clockwise with a hexagonal key.
  10. Press the small plastic cover [18] into the opening.
  11. Turn on the main water supply and check the temperature limiter.

Operation

Bringing into Use

Note: If the fitting has not been used for a long period, flush the pipes thoroughly to avoid stagnation and residue build-up. Open the main water supply. Lift and swing the control lever [17] left or right to regulate water flow speed or temperature. Press the changeover switch on the shower head [1] to select spray jet or normal spray jet operation. Check the mixer's operation by moving the control lever [17] through all positions. Regularly check all connections for tightness. To use the shower head freely, pull it down slightly and forward out of its holder.

Water-saving Function

The cartridge [21] includes a water-saving function that limits water flow, potentially saving up to 50% water (see Fig. K). Lift the lever [17] until slight resistance is felt; this stops partial opening and limits flow. To increase flow, apply slight pressure on the lever [17] past this resistance point.

Energy-saving Function

The cartridge [21] also features an energy-saving function. When the control lever [17] is in the middle position, only cold water flows, reducing energy consumption (see Fig. L).

Maintenance and Cleaning

Tap Care and Cleaning

Sanitary fittings require special care. Follow these guidelines: Never use corrosive or alcohol-based cleaning materials, as they can damage the product. Clean fittings with clean water, mild detergent, and a soft cloth or leather only. Unscrew the aerator [2] at regular intervals to remove lime deposits or foreign bodies. Failure to follow care advice may result in surface damage and void warranty rights.

Disposal

Packaging is made of recyclable materials and can be disposed of at local recycling facilities. Contact your local refuse disposal authority for details on disposing of the worn-out product.

Information

Potability of Mains Water

Inquire with your local water authority about the potability of your mains water supply. General recommendations for pipework water: Let water run briefly if it has been stagnant for over four hours. Do not use stagnant water for food preparation or drinking, especially for infants, as it may pose health risks. Fresh water is noticeably cooler than stagnant water. Do not use stagnant water from chrome-plated pipework for food, drinking, or personal hygiene if you are allergic to nickel, as it may contain high nickel quantities. Do not use water from lead pipework for infant food, pregnancy food preparation, or infant drinks, as lead is harmful to infants and young children.
