LIVARNO home Kitchen Knife Care and Usage Guide
Important information regarding the use, care, and disposal of your new kitchen knife.
Introduction
We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high-quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the first time. Please carefully refer to the operating instructions and the safety advice below. Only use the product as instructed and only for the indicated field of application. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.
General Care Instructions
- Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference.
- Always do your cutting on chopping boards made of wood or soft plastic. Only use the product for cutting food.
- This product is made of high-quality stainless steel.
- After each use: Always clean the product immediately (especially after cutting acidic foods). Food residue might otherwise cause discolouration or flash rust. For that reason, do not leave the product dirty for a longer period of time.
- Suitable for dishwashers. It is nevertheless recommended to clean the product by hand in order to protect it from aggressive cleaning agents in the dishwasher and from mechanical damage, such as flash rust, resulting from rusting screws in pots and lids.
- Do not clean the product with aggressive dishwashing sponges with a scouring side or steel sponges. This could damage the coating of the product.
Cleaning in a Dishwasher
- Follow the instruction manual of your dishwasher.
- After cleaning: Remove the product from the dishwasher and dry, if necessary.
- Alternatively, open the dishwasher door a little in order for the steam to escape and to avoid accumulation of moisture.
Disposal
The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.
The product and packaging materials are recyclable and are subject to extended producer responsibility. Dispose them separately, following the illustrated Info-tri (sorting information), for better waste treatment. The Triman logo is valid in France only.
