Installation Guide: Insect Screen Door Curtain
Follow these instructions to install your insect screen door curtain.
Preparation
- Clean the outside of the door frame thoroughly with a mild cleaning agent.
Cutting the Top Strip
- Shorten the upper clamping strip according to the reveal width of the door using a saw or scissors.
Fixing Methods
3a. Permanent Fixing with Extra Strong Adhesive Tape
- Remove the protective strip of adhesive tape from the back of the clamping strip, exposing the adhesive surface.
- Attach the clamping strip to the door frame.
- Wait two hours for the adhesive to reach its final strength.
3b. Removable Fixing with Velcro Tape
- Attach the self-adhesive Velcro tape (a) to the door frame. Shorten it with scissors if necessary.
- Remove the protective strip of adhesive tape from the back of the clamping strip.
- Stick the fleece tape (b) with the smooth surface onto the exposed adhesive surface of the clamping strip.
- Attach the clamping strip with the fleece tape to the Velcro tape on the door frame.
- Wait two hours for the adhesive to reach its final strength.
Aligning and Securing the Slats
- Open the clamping strip and remove the protective strip of adhesive tape from the inside. This is for aligning and temporarily fixing the slats.
- Align the slats so they overlap evenly and are parallel.
- Close the clamping strip by pressing it together.
- Shorten the slats according to the reveal height using scissors.
- Open the four weighting clamping strips.
- Remove the protective strip of adhesive tape from the inside of the weighting clamping strips. This is for aligning and temporarily fixing the slats.
- Align the weighting clamping strips so they do not touch the floor.
- Close them by pressing them together.
