Charging the Lithium Battery
- Balanced charging: Switch off the transmitter's power. Insert the USB port of the charger into the computer's USB port, and connect the other end of the charger to the drone's charging port. The drone's indicator light will be red while charging. It turns off when fully charged.
- The battery can also be charged using a mobile charger or car-loaded power.
- Full charging takes approximately 100 minutes. A fully charged battery provides around 8 minutes of flight time.
Cautions for Charging
- Charge in a dried or ventilated area, away from heat sources or explosive products.
- Do not charge the battery immediately after flying if it is still hot.
- Replace batteries that have been used for a long time.
- Use only the original USB charger cable. Replace batteries if they appear swollen or have been used for a long time.
- Batteries lose power over time if not used. Frequent charging or discharging can reduce battery lifespan.
Preparation Before Take Off
- Fly the quadcopter in a spacious indoor area or an outdoor area free of obstacles, rain, snow, animals, and people. Avoid windy conditions outdoors.
- Ensure all propellers are installed correctly for proper takeoff.
- Make sure the remote control is assembled with new or fully charged AA batteries.
- Ensure the drone's lithium battery is fully charged.
Taking Off
- Turn on the remote control by short-pressing the power button. It will beep once, and the "STATUS" light will flash (Pic.1).
- Check the lithium battery (3.7V 650mAh) and ensure it is inserted into the battery compartment of the drone (Pic.2).
- Place the drone on a flat, level surface. Press down the drone's power button to turn it on (Pic.3). The drone's lights will begin blinking.
- Quickly shift the throttle stick (left stick) up and down. If successful, the transmitter will beep, and the "STATUS", "SPEED2", "SPEED1", "ROLL", "NORMAL" LED lights on the remote control will turn on (Pic.5). The drone's LED lights will flash slowly (Pic.6).
- The drone is now connected to the remote control and ready for takeoff. Press the "A Key Take Off" button to take off automatically (Pic.7).
Tips for Flight
- Once airborne, use the throttle stick and forward/backward stick to control the flight.
- For beginners, it is recommended to read the full Instruction Manual before using the "A Key Take Off" function to avoid accidents.
- To land the drone, press the "A Key Take Off/Landing" button again. The drone will land automatically, and the propellers will stop rotating.
LED Lights Display
The display shows various modes: State Display, Normal Mode Display, Speed Display, Headless Mode Display, and Tumbling Display.
Altitude Hold Mode
- The drone is equipped with Altitude Hold Mode by default, maintaining a constant altitude during hovering.
- Pushing the left throttle stick up ascends the drone.
- Pushing the left throttle stick down descends the drone.
- When the throttle stick returns to the neutral position, the drone maintains its current height.
Operations
Hover up and down
Push the throttle up or down to make the quadcopter fly upward or downward.
Forward and backward
Push the direction lever up or down to make the quadcopter fly forward or backward.
Turn left and right
Pull the throttle left or right to make the quadcopter turn left or right.
Sideward fly
Pull the direction lever left or right to make the quadcopter fly to the left or right side.
Sideward fly fine-tuning
If the quadcopter drifts left or right, use the fine-tuning button to correct the drift.
Forward and backward fly fine-tuning
If the quadcopter drifts forward or backward, use the fine-tuning button to correct the drift.
Headless Mode
- Before pairing, place the drone facing forward with its tail towards the pilot (Pic.8). After takeoff, press the Headless Mode button on the remote control. The "NORMAL" LED light will turn off, and the "HEADLESS" LED light will turn on (Pic.9).
- In Headless Mode, the drone's orientation does not matter. Any side can face forward. Use the throttle and direction sticks to control movement.
- Press the Headless Mode button again to exit Headless Mode. The "HEADLESS" light turns off, and the "NORMAL" light turns on.
Tips for Headless Mode and One Key Return
- Ensure the drone's head faces forward and the tail faces the pilot during pairing.
- Do not move the quadcopter or remote during Headless Mode/One Key Return operations, as the drone flies relative to the binding point.
- It is recommended to remain stationary and face the same direction as when binding the remote.
One Key Return
The One Key Return function automatically brings the drone back to the pilot. Press the One Key Return button.
- In Normal Mode: The drone returns to the direction it was pointing when paired (Pic.10).
- In Headless Mode: The drone returns to the direction it was pointing when Headless Mode was activated.
3D Tumbling Function
Once familiar with basic controls, perform advanced tumbling actions. Fly the drone to approximately 3 meters, press and hold the Tumbling Key, and push the right control lever forward/backward/left/right. This initiates tumbling actions. Tumbling is not available in Headless Mode.
Caution: The battery's full charge ensures the best tumbling performance.
Assemble the Camera
The camera is pre-installed. Check the camera wire connections.
Tips for Camera Use
- Connect to WIFI first to take photos/videos.
- Short press the button on the top left of the remote to take a photo (Pic.11).
- Long press the same button to record video; short press again to end recording. The remote control beeps continuously during video recording.
- Images and videos are saved to the micro SD card inserted into the camera.
Connect to the camera's WIFI signal "HolyStoneFPV***" and open the "Deerc FPV" APP on your phone to use the camera function.
Assemble the Phone Holder
A phone holder is included for FPV functionality.
- Insert the phone holder stick into the middle top hole of the remote control (Pic.12).
- Rotate the phone holder to secure it to the plastic tag on the remote control (Pic.13, Pic.14).
- Lock the phone holder by clockwise tightening the black plastic screw (Pic.14).
