TORNSBORG Convertible Sofa Assembly

General Assembly Information

Before starting assembly, please review these general guidelines. Ensure you have all parts and tools required. It is recommended to have two people for assembly. Assemble on a soft surface, such as a carpet, to prevent scratching the product components. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact IKEA customer service.

• Hex Keys (Allen Wrenches): 1x (Part 118331), 1x (Part 130445)

Assembly Steps

Step 1

Insert four wooden dowels (Part 101353) into the pre-drilled holes on the ends of four structural wooden beams. Ensure they are fully seated.

Step 2

Attach four metal brackets (Part 10119670) to the ends of two wooden beams using four short screws (Part 100214) and the hex key (Part 130445). Repeat this process for another pair of wooden beams.

Step 3

Insert two wooden dowels (Part 101348) into the holes on two separate wooden blocks. Attach these blocks to the main frame components.

Step 4

Secure four metal plates (Part 10092485) to the wooden frame using four short screws (Part 112091) and the hex key (Part 130445). Repeat for another set of four plates.

Step 5

Attach four metal brackets (Part 10119670) to the frame using four short screws (Part 112091) and the hex key (Part 130445).

Step 6

Insert a metal rod/pin (Part 111631) into its designated bracket. Then, attach a metal bracket/connector (Part 10050800) to the frame using two screws (Part 130445) and the hex key (Part 112091).

Step 7

Attach four plastic fasteners/clips (Part 10114785) to the frame.

Step 8

Attach four metal brackets (Part 10119670) to the frame using four short screws (Part 112091) and the hex key (Part 130445).

Step 9

Insert two wooden dowels (Part 101353) into the holes of two wooden blocks. Attach these blocks to the frame.

Step 10

Attach two metal brackets (Part 118331) to the frame using two long screws (Part 113434) and the hex key (Part 118331).

Step 11

Attach two metal brackets (Part 118331) to the frame using two long screws (Part 113434) and the hex key (Part 118331).

Step 12

Attach four metal brackets (Part 118331) to the frame using four medium screws (Part 111631) and the hex key (Part 128864).

Step 13

Attach two cushions/pads (Part 10119655) to the base unit.

Step 14

Attach two metal brackets (Part 10119655) to the chair frame.

Step 15

Attach two plastic fasteners (Part 10110161) to the base unit.

Step 16

Fold down a section of the base unit. Attach two plastic fasteners/clips (Part 10114785) to the frame.

Step 17

Attach two plastic fasteners/clips (Part 10114785) to the frame.

Step 18

Attach two plastic fasteners (Part 10119654) to the frame. Ensure they click into place.

Step 19

Fold down the backrest cushion.

Step 20

Fold down the seat cushion.

Step 21

Complete the assembly. The TORNSBORG convertible sofa is now ready for use.
