Advice for Use

This worktop is made of recycled glass and resins. Unlike a solid stone worktop, the surface is nonporous, smooth and highly resistant to stains.

Care and Maintenance

• For daily cleaning, use a soft cloth dampened in warm water and mild detergent or soap.
• Avoid using cleaning products that contain oils, scouring powders or abrasives. Prolonged exposure to cleaning solutions may cause permanent damage or discolouration to the worktop's surface. Rinse immediately with water to neutralise the effect of exposure to any potentially damaging products.
• Stubborn stains can be removed using a combination of 50/50 vinegar and water. Rinse the surface afterwards with water and dry with a soft cloth.
• Dried food particles can be removed by using a plastic or wooden scraper. Remove excess material and then clean the surface with a damp cloth to remove any remaining marks.
• The worktop can withstand most household chemicals. Avoid exposing the worktop's surface to any strong chemicals and solvents like paint remover, oven grill cleaner or furniture cleaner.
• Do not place hot objects directly on the worktop. Always use a pot stand or trivet to protect the surface. Boiling water and splatters from cooking food will not damage the worktop.
• Do not use a knife or other sharp objects directly on the worktop surface. This damages the worktop and makes the knife edge dull. Always use a chopping board.
• Never pull an object with rough or ragged edges across the worktop since it can scratch the surface.
• Do not place a toaster, coffee maker, kettle or other kitchen appliance that emits heat directly over a seam between two worktops since the heat can damage the seam.
• Never use a steel scourer, scourer pad, scouring agent or similar products since they can scratch the surface.
• Matt surfaces require more cleaning than polished finishes. Metal marks, fingerprints and other signs of daily living will show on this material and can be removed using a non-abrasive cleaning product.
