Honeywell Extended FlexRange EX30 2D Scan Engine
Datasheet for advanced barcode scanning in warehouse and distribution environments.
Product Overview
The Extended FlexRange EX30 2D Scan Engine is designed for warehouse and distribution center operations, offering seamless barcode reading from 10 cm to 20 meters (4 inches to 66 feet) with a fast auto-focus mechanism.
This engine addresses the need for solutions that can read barcodes at both close and far distances, such as package labels on high shelves. It provides a wide angle read range of 42° at close distances and up to 20 meters (66 feet).
The EX30 features a patented, embedded auto-focus lens mechanism that enables rapid aim-and-scan operation, enhancing job efficiency. Operators experience no latency when switching between near and far reading, ensuring a comfortable work pace.
Image Description: A compact, rectangular 2D scan engine with a lens at the front, identified as the Honeywell Extended FlexRange EX30.
The EX30's electrical interface is compatible with Honeywell's N670X, N660X, and N360X Series fixed-focus scan engines, allowing for easy integration into existing mobile devices with minimal design time. It is available with either a parallel or MIPI interface, suitable for modern processors.
It can be embedded into mobile devices running an OS, leveraging the device's main processor. Honeywell offers support for integrating decoder software, reducing hardware costs and improving performance.
The EX30 can also be powered by the Honeywell Gen7 DB Decoder Board for integration into non-OS devices like drones, mobile accessories, and sleds.
