This is the exclusive warranty by Delta Faucet Company. It excludes all industrial, commercial, and business usage, which are covered by a five-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty applies to Delta faucets manufactured after January 1, 1995.

Installation Instructions
For easy installation of your Delta faucet, you will need:
- To READ ALL the instructions completely before beginning.
- To READ ALL warnings, care, and maintenance information.
Spout Installation
Note: Faucets are designed for a maximum countertop thickness of 2 1/4".
*If installing on a Stainless Steel or thin sink, use the included RP37490 Stabilization Plate.
Action: Shut off water supplies.
1. Thread screws (1) approximately 4 complete turns into mounting nut (2).
2. Position spout assembly on sink, in the center of the mounting hole. Ensure gasket (3) is properly aligned in the base cavity.
Option: If the surface is uneven, use silicone sealant under the gasket.
3. Secure spout with mounting nut (2) and washer (4).
4. After hand-tightening the mounting nut, tighten screws (1) until snug.
Valve Assembly Installation
1. Slide gasket (1) up over the valve assembly tubes and place it in the groove in the base (2).
2. Feed the tubes down through the sink hole, ensuring the gasket is properly seated.
3. Place the valve assembly (3) in the center of the mounting hole as shown.
4. Secure the valve assembly to the sink with mounting bracket (4) and nut (5) using the provided wrench (6).
Hose Installation
Part A:
1. Insert hose guide (1) into hose end (2).
2. Pass hose (2) up through the spout tip (3). This may require several attempts. Let the hose protrude from the spout to prevent it from being pulled in, or briefly attach the sprayer.
3. Remove hose guide (1).
4. Slide hose weight (4) over the end of hose (2).
Part B:
1. Push hose end (1) onto hose (2).
2. Attach clip (3) over the hoses as shown.
3. Pull down moderately to ensure the connection is secure.
Soap Dispenser Installation
1. Remove nut and gasket (1).
2. Insert dispenser body (2) and gasket (3) through the selected hole in the sink. Ensure the gasket (3) is properly seated in the base.
3. Secure the body to the sink with nut and gasket (1).
4. From under the sink, screw the bottle (4) onto the body assembly shank.
5. Insert the pump and head (5) into the body (2).
Note for Filling: Lift the head and pump assembly out of the bottle and pour no more than 8 oz. into the bottle. Do not remove the bottle each time, as this weakens the neck. Periodically pull the pump and head assembly out to soak and pump warm water through to remove soap build-up.
Water Line Connections
General Connections:
1. Ensure all fittings and end connections are free of debris.
2. Faucet fittings (1) are 3/8" compression, with red for hot and blue for cold.
3. Loop tubing (2) if it is too long. Recommended minimum bend diameter is 8".
4. Secure metal nut (3) on faucet tube to supply valve connection (4). Hand tighten, then tighten one additional turn with a wrench. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Repeat for the other tube.
WARNING: Do not use pipe dope or other sealants on water line connections.
Custom Fit Connections (PEX Tubing)
If you determine the PEX supply tubing is too long and must be shorter for an acceptable installation, read instructions and plan ahead. The installer accepts responsibility for cutting the tubing to allow a leak-free joint. Delta is not responsible for tubing cut too short or in a way that prevents a leak-free joint.
For custom fit installations, use RP50952 sleeves and nuts included on supply lines. The tube cut must be straight. Refer to RP50952 instructions for plastic sleeve installation.
1. Secure metal nut (1) on faucet tube to supply valve connection (2). Hand tighten, then tighten an additional 2 turns with a wrench. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Repeat for the other tube.
Potential Problems and Remedies
- Tubing not cut perpendicular: Carefully make an additional cut, ensuring not to cut the tube too short.
- Tubing cut too short: Purchase a coupling union and a replacement supply line. Ensure the coupling union end mates with the faucet's standard 3/8" connection nuts and plastic sleeves.
- Plastic sleeve or connection nut lost: Purchase a replacement nut and/or plastic sleeve designed for PEX tubing. NOTICE: Do not use a metal sleeve, RP51243 gasket, or ferrule instead of the supplied plastic sleeve, as it may not create a leak-free joint.
WARNING: Do not use pipe dope or other sealants on water line connections.
Plastic Sleeve Installation Instructions
1. Identify the desired length of tube (1). Leave 1" - 2" of extra length for easier installation. Ensure the cut is straight and burr-free.
2. Slide nut (2) and plastic sleeve (3) onto the cut tube. Ensure the sleeve is oriented as shown.
3. Insert the tube into the outlet fitting (4). The tube should touch the bottom of the hole inside the fitting.
4. Slide the plastic sleeve down the tube until it engages the top of the fitting. NOTICE: Failure to use the plastic sleeve in the correct orientation may result in disconnection and possible water damage.
5. Slide the nut over the plastic sleeve. With a wrench, tighten the nut 2 turns past finger tight.
Handle Installation and Limit Stop
1. Thread sleeve (1) over bonnet (2) and hand tighten.
2. Place handle (3) on stem (4) and secure with set screw (5).
3. Install button (6) into the set screw hole.
Setting The Handle Limit Stop (Optional)
This faucet has an integrated handle limit stop with two positions:
- Position 1 (left): Allows full handle motion (all cold to all hot). This is the factory default.
- Position 2 (right): Allows half of the normal handle motion (all cold to mixed hot/cold). This position limits hot water in the mix, potentially helping to prevent scalding, but does not compensate for incoming pressure or sudden temperature changes.
To change positions:
- Remove the handle.
- Move the valve stem to the all-cold position (water on).
- Change the position of the handle limit stop.
- Turn off the water.
- Reinstall the handle.
Hose Assembly Flushing & Handle Operation
1. Pull the hose assembly (1) out of the spout, holding the end of the hose down into the sink.
2. Turn faucet handle (2) to the full on mixed position.
3. Turn on hot and cold water supplies (3) and flush water lines for one minute.
IMPORTANT: This flushes away any debris that could cause damage to internal parts.
4. Hand tighten the hose nut (4) into the sprayer assembly (5).
5. Check all connections at the indicated arrows for leaks. Re-tighten if necessary, but do not overtighten.
Maintenance
If faucet exhibits very low flow:
- A. Remove and clean Aerator (1) with the supplied wrench (2).
- B. SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. Replace valve cartridge (3).
If faucet leaks from under the handle:
- Remove handle and unthread trim cap (4). Using a wrench, ensure bonnet nut (5) is tight.
- If leak persists - SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. Replace valve cartridge (3). When reinstalling parts, ensure bonnet nut (5) is tightened securely with a wrench.
If faucet leaks from spout outlet:
- SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. Replace valve cartridge (3). When reinstalling parts, ensure bonnet nut (5) is tightened securely with a wrench.
WARNING: Failure to securely tighten bonnet nut with a wrench could result in water damage.
A small amount of water may run out the spout or drip for a very short period after the faucet is shut off. This is a natural occurrence caused by the long flexible hose.
Do not attempt to disassemble cartridge (3). There are no repairable parts inside.
