Installation Requirements
For easy installation, you will need to:
- Read all instructions completely before beginning.
- Read all warnings, care, and maintenance information.
Installation Steps
Water Line Connections
Ensure all fittings and end connections are free of debris. Faucet fittings are 3/8" compression, colored red for hot and blue for cold. Loop tubing if it is too long (recommended minimum bend diameter is 8"). Secure the metal nut on the faucet tube to the supply valve connection and hand tighten, then tighten one additional turn with a wrench. Do not overtighten. Repeat for the other tube. Do not use pipe dope or other sealants on water line connections.
Custom Fit Connections
If PEX supply tubing is too long, read instructions and plan ahead. Ensure cuts are straight and burr-free. Use RP50952 sleeves and included nuts. Slide nut and plastic sleeve onto the cut tube, ensuring the sleeve is oriented correctly. Insert the tube into the outlet fitting, ensuring it touches the bottom. Slide the plastic sleeve down until it engages the top of the fitting. Slide the nut over the plastic sleeve and tighten 2 turns past finger tight with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Hose Installation
Insert the hose end through the hose weight assembly. Push the hose end onto the faucet outlet. Attach the clip over the hose and outlet, pulling down moderately to ensure the connection is made.
Soap Dispenser Installation
(Note: Soap dispenser not included with all models.) Remove the nut, separate the head from the body. Insert the body and gasket through the sink hole, ensuring the gasket is seated. Secure the body with the nut. Screw the bottle onto the body assembly shank. Insert the pump into the head, then into the body. To fill, lift the head and pump assembly and pour no more than 8 oz. into the bottle. Avoid removing the bottle each time. Periodically soak and pump warm water through the pump to remove soap build-up. It may take up to 12 pumps initially to bring soap to the pump tip.
Flush Supply Lines
Place a bucket below the outlet tube and move the valve handle to the open mixed position. While holding the outlet tube over the bucket, slowly open and close the supply stops to prevent debris from lodging in the hose and sprayer. Move the faucet handle to the off position and carefully remove the water container.
Setting The Handle Limit Stop (Optional)
This faucet has an integrated handle limit stop with two positions. Position 1 (left) allows full handle motion. Position 2 (right) allows half of the normal handle motion (all cold to mixed hot/cold). To change positions: remove the handle, move the valve stem to the all cold position, change the limit stop position, turn off the water, and reinstall the handle. Setting the limit stop in position 2 may help prevent scalding by limiting hot water, but it does not compensate for incoming pressure or sudden temperature changes.
Maintenance
- Low Flow: Remove and clean the aerator. Unscrew the hose from the spray head and clean debris from the screen (if present). Reinstall the screen.
- Leaks from under handle: Remove handle and cap. Ensure bonnet nut is tight. If leak persists, shut off water supplies and replace the valve cartridge.
- Leaks from spout outlet: Shut off water supplies and replace the valve cartridge.
- Tightening Bonnet Nut: Ensure bonnet nut is tightened securely with a wrench. Failure to do so could result in water damage.
- Note on Water Dripping: A small amount of water may drip for a short period after the faucet is shut off due to the flexible hose.
- Note on Valve Cartridge: Do not attempt to disassemble the valve cartridge as there are no repairable parts inside.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the product gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes, as they can damage the finish.
Backflow Protection System
The pull-out spout incorporates a tested backflow protection system with two certified check valves that operate independently and are integral, non-serviceable parts of the wand assembly.
