Safety Precautions
IMPORTANT: Always turn off the main power at the fuse box or circuit breaker before starting any electrical work. Ensure the wall switch is also in the "OFF" position. If replacing an existing fixture, turn off its specific switch or pull chain.
Installation Steps
-
Turn Off Power
Go to your home's main fuse or circuit breaker box. Place the main power switch in the "OFF" position. Then, switch off the circuit breaker(s) or unscrew the fuse(s) controlling power to the fixture's location. Finally, place the wall switch for the fixture's location in the "OFF" position. If the fixture being replaced has its own switch or pull chain, ensure those are also in the "OFF" position.
-
Prepare Mounting Strap
Locate the appropriate threaded holes on the mounting strap. Assemble the mounting screws into these holes.
-
Attach Mounting Strap
Attach the mounting strap to the electrical outlet box. (Mounting screws are not provided). The strap can be adjusted to align correctly with the fixture's position.
-
Grounding Instructions
Follow the grounding instructions based on your mounting strap:
- Configuration A (with dimples): Wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green ground screw on the mounting strap and thread it into the hole.
- Configuration B (with cupped washer): Place the ground wire from the outlet box under the cupped washer and the green ground screw. Thread the screw into the mounting strap.
If the fixture itself is provided with a ground wire, connect it to the outlet box ground wire using a wire connector (not provided) after completing the above steps. Never connect the ground wire to the black or white power supply wires.
-
Make Wire Connections
Connect the fixture wires to the power supply wires using wire connectors (not provided). Refer to the chart below for correct connections.

Mount Fixture to Ceiling
Carefully push the fixture towards the ceiling, guiding the mounting screws through the fixture's holes.
-
Secure Fixture
Secure the fixture to the ceiling using the threaded balls.
-
Attach Glass

-
Position Ring with Glass
Raise the ring with the glass attached up to the fixture. Place the ring over the fixture; the fixture should fit snugly inside the ring.
-
Align Holes
Align the holes in the ring with the corresponding holes along the edge of the fixture.
