Wiring Diagram
The wiring diagram illustrates the following essential connections:
- AC Power: Connect the AC power supply to the 'L' and 'N' terminals of the Input AC block.
- Sensor: Connect the sensor cable to the 'S1' and 'S2' terminals. These sensors are used to detect the open or closed state of the garage door.
- Motor/Wall Button: The diagram shows a wall button connected to a motor, indicating the module acts as an interface to control the motor based on sensor input and app commands.
App Integration and Network Setup
To enable smart control and remote operation, download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" application from your mobile device's app store. These apps are available on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
The system utilizes a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for communication. Your home router provides the Wi-Fi connection, which enables the central server to communicate with the mobile app (Android/iOS) via Wi-Fi or cellular data (GPRS/WLAN).
Download the Apps:
- Smart Life: [App Store] [Google Play]
- Tuya Smart: [App Store] [Google Play]
Adding the Device via App
Follow these steps to pair the Door Controller with your chosen smart home app:
- Connect the Garage Door Opener module to its power source.
- Ensure your smartphone and the module are within the operational range of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router. For a stable and successful pairing process, it is recommended that both devices are located in the same room to ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal.
- Press and hold the pairing button on the module for approximately 5 seconds. The indicator light should flash quickly, signaling that the device is in pairing mode.
- Open the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app on your smartphone.
- Tap the '+' icon (typically found in the top corner of the app interface) to add a new device.
- Select the "Garage Door Opener" or a similar device type from the app's list of available devices and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing. Important Note: This device exclusively supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Once the device is successfully paired, the app will display a confirmation message: "Device added successfully." You can then control the garage door opener remotely through the app interface.
Wi-Fi Network Configuration
During the app setup process, you will be prompted to select your home Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks and enter the corresponding network password. Click 'Confirm' to establish the connection.
Important: The app and device are compatible only with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If your router broadcasts both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, ensure you select the 2.4GHz option for connection.
Sensor Installation and Placement
Proper installation and placement of the sensors are crucial for accurate detection of the garage door's status. Ensure your garage door is in the closed position before commencing sensor mounting.
- Mounting: Identify suitable positions on both the garage door and its frame for the two magnetic sensors.
- Attachment: Secure the sensors using the provided double-sided adhesive tapes, screws, or mounting brackets for a firm installation.
- Spacing Requirements:
- When the garage door is closed, the distance between the two sensors must be less than 30mm [↔️ < 30mm].
- When the garage door is open, the two sensors should be positioned with a significant separation [↔️ ↔️].
Adhering to these specific spacing guidelines ensures reliable and accurate detection of the door's open or closed state by the controller.
