Denver CRL-340 Clock Radio Instruction Manual

This document provides instructions for operating the Denver CRL-340 Clock Radio. It covers the product's functions, how to set it up, and important safety guidelines.

The Denver CRL-340 features a front display and controls, and ports on the back/side.

Operation Instructions

3.1 Placement

Place the Wake-up Light 16-20 inches (40-50 cm) from your head, for example, on a bedside table.

3.2 Power

Connect the device to a DC 5V USB power source. Insert one CR2032 battery for backup power only.

3.3 Setting the Clock Time

When first plugged in or after a power failure, the clock display will flash, requiring time setting.

Use the [+] and [-] buttons to set the hour, then press the [Current Time] button to confirm. Repeat for minutes. The display will exit setting mode if no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds.

To adjust the displayed time, press and hold the [Current Time] button for 3 seconds until the hour display flashes. Use [+] and [-] to set the hour, then press [Current Time] to confirm. Repeat for minutes.

Press the [Time Display] button to switch between 12H and 24H modes. AM or PM will be displayed in 12H mode.

Press the [Alarm] button to set the LED display intensity (Low-High-Off). The intensity defaults to high. If set to low, it will automatically change to high when settings are changed, then revert to low after 5 seconds.

3.4 Light Control

Press the [Sunrise] button to switch on the light. Use the [+] and [-] buttons to adjust brightness from 1 to 10.

Pressing the [Sunrise] button a second time enters color-setting mode. Use [+] and [-] to select colors: Green, Red, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Indigo.

Pressing the [Sunrise] button a third time switches the light off.

3.5 Setting the Alarm and Wake-up Sound

Press the [Alarm] button to toggle the alarm mode on or off. An alarm symbol [alarm] will be displayed when the alarm is active. The alarm time will show for 2 seconds when turned on.

Press and hold the [Alarm] button for 3 seconds to set the alarm time. The hours will flash. Use [+] to set the hour and press [Alarm] to confirm. Repeat for minutes. Setting mode exits after 5 seconds of inactivity.

Wake-up Sound: Press the [Sound] button to select the wake-up sound (1-7). Sounds 1-6 play for 60 seconds. Sound 7 is FM radio. Press the [Sound] button to confirm your choice.

Press the [/] button to set the alarm volume (00-15).

3.6 Sunrise Light Simulation

30 minutes before the alarm time, the light will gradually increase in brightness. At the alarm time, the selected wake-up sound or FM radio will play for 5 minutes.

While the sound is playing:

If FM radio is playing at the alarm time, it will switch off, and the wake-up light sound will play. The radio will resume after the wake-up sound finishes.

3.7 Sunset Light Simulation

Touch the [Sunset] button to set the sunset simulation. The display will show 15. Repeatedly pressing the button cycles through 15, 30, 60 minutes, or OFF. These times indicate how long the light takes to dim.

Once the desired time is displayed, do not press any button for 5 seconds to confirm. The sunset time is set, and normal operation resumes.

During sunset simulation, the [Sunset] button will flash. Press the [Sunrise] button to cancel the simulation and maintain current brightness. Press and hold the [Sunrise] button for 3 seconds to switch off the sunset light.

If FM radio is playing during sunset, it will switch off along with the sunset light.

3.8 FM Radio

Press the [FM] button to turn the radio on or off.

Hold the [FM] button for 3 seconds to scan and save available FM channels.

Press the [+] or [-] buttons to select an FM station.

Press the [/] button to set the radio volume (00-15).

The product displays a CE mark, indicating compliance with relevant European directives.

The unit also features a 'crossed out trash can' symbol [?️]. This symbol signifies that electric and electronic equipment should not be disposed of with general household waste. Instead, it must be disposed of separately at designated collection points for recycling.
