Kit AS9 Assembly
The Numatic Henry Allergy HVA160-11 comes with the following components:
- Hose
- Extension Tubes
- Floor Tool
- Crevice Tool
- Upholstery Brush
- Dusting Brush
Assembly involves connecting the hose to the machine, attaching extension tubes, and then connecting the appropriate tool to the end of the tube.

Using Your Machine
Locate the 'Start' button and the 'Power On Indicator Light' on the machine.
The machine features adjustable suction power, indicated by 'Low' and 'High' settings. Use the controls to select the desired suction level.

Cleaning Your Machine
Follow these steps for cleaning and maintenance:
- Release the top handle and lift the machine head off the bin.
- Release the bin lid clips.
- Lift the bin lid.
- Remove the Tritex filter (Part No. 907073).
- Clean the filter and the inside of the machine.
- Remove the dust bag.
- Dispose of the dust bag correctly.
- Replace the filter and dust bag.
- Reassemble the machine.

Changing the Filter
To change the filter:
- Unlock the filter housing.
- Remove the old filter.

Information for DRY Use Vacuum Cleaners
WARNING:
- Read the instruction manual before using the machine.
- Operators must be adequately instructed on the use of their machine.
- Exercise care and attention during use, and ensure routine and preventative maintenance is carried out periodically for safe operation.
- Failure to carry out necessary maintenance, including part replacement to the correct standard, could render the equipment unsafe. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility in this respect.
- Maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified person.
- This machine is for DRY USE only and must not be stored outside or used in wet conditions.
- Disconnect from the mains power by removing the plug from the power supply socket during cleaning, maintenance, or when replacing parts.
- Only use the machine's socket outlet for purposes specified in the instructions (if fitted).
- This machine is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge.
- This appliance is intended to be cleaned and maintained by an adult.
- Children should be supervised and not play with the machine.
- This machine is not a toy.
- This machine is not suitable for picking up hazardous or explosive dust. Contact your local distributor for machines capable of such tasks.

- This vacuum cleaner is intended for indoor use for collecting dry materials only.
- This machine should be stored indoors only.
NOTES:
- The primary use for this machine is commercial (e.g., hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, offices).
- This product complies with IEC/EN 60335-2-69 Stability and Mechanical Hazards requirements.
- The vacuum cleaner is fitted with a thermal protection device. If it stops working, remove the plug from the wall before investigating.
- If the vacuum cleaner has a blockage: switch off, remove the plug, inspect the floor tool, tubes, and hose. If clear, replace the dust bag and clean the filter.
- The vacuum cleaner should be inspected for damage after use.
- Store the vacuum cleaner in a dry place.
- Consider the machine's weight when moving it.
DO:
- Keep your machine clean, including hoses and tubes.
- Change dust bags frequently.
- Keep filters clean.
- Keep the diffuser filter (where fitted) clean.
- Use filter bags for enhanced performance and to keep the machine clean.
- Use a Numatic Original filter bag for fine dust conditions.
- Keep hoses and tubes clear.
- Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately.
- Only use the brushes provided with the machine; others may impair safety.
- Regularly examine the power cord. If damage (cracking, ageing) is found, it must be replaced by a qualified person.
- Only replace the power cord with a correct Numatic approved replacement part.
DO NOT:
- Pull on the cable to unplug the machine from the power supply.
- Use to suck up hot ashes or lighted cigarette ends.
- Use steam cleaners or pressure washers to clean the machine, or use in the rain.
- Immerse the machine in water for cleaning.
- Attempt machine maintenance or cleaning unless the power supply plug has been removed.
- Use in wet environments or to collect wet materials.
- Place foreign objects (e.g., air fresheners, capsules, scented beads) into the top filter of the machine, as this can be dangerous and may invalidate the warranty.
Allergy Information:
Allergy UK considers that the HVA 160-11 (Henry Clean Air) may, with proper use, reduce exposure to house dust mite and cat allergens. Assessments indicate that individual exposure can be reduced, but this does not guarantee a reduction in allergic symptoms.
Warranty Information
Numatic International Limited warrants its products to be free of defects in material or workmanship for the period shown:
- Homecare and Cleancare Vacuum cleaners: 2 Years
- Rotary Floor Machines: 2 Years
- Twintec Auto Scrubber Dryer: 1 Year
- Vario Ride-On Scrubber Dryer: 1 Year / 1500 hours
- Mopping, Compacts, Combi and Servocare Products: 1 Year
- Individual Accessories and Spare Parts: 6 Months
Note: Consumable parts like carbon brushes, floor brushes, mops, and batteries are excluded as they are subject to normal wear and tear.
Using non-Numatic dustbags can be detrimental to machine performance and life, and may invalidate the warranty.
Warranty claims must be processed through the dealer from whom the equipment was purchased. Contact Numatic International Limited if the original dealer cannot fulfil obligations, providing full claim details and proof of purchase.
Claims are limited to the specific faulty part. Claims will not be accepted for fair wear and tear, misuse, or abuse.
Numatic International Limited reserves the right to charge for unnecessary work carried out due to invalid claims.
