GBKit AS36
This section details the components included in the AS36 accessory kit and the assembly process.
Kit Components:
- Hose
- Extension Tubes (2 or 3 pieces)
- Floor Tool (with brush)
- Crevice Tool
- Brush Tool
- Other smaller tools/adapters
Assembly:
Follow these steps to assemble the vacuum cleaner and its accessories:
- Connect the hose to the machine's inlet port. [arrow-right]
- Connect the extension tubes together. [arrow-right]
- Attach the floor tool to the end of the extension tube. [arrow-right]
- The floor tool has an adjustable height setting, indicated by a range of approximately 50mm for different floor types.
- Insert the dust bag into the machine. [arrow-down]
- Secure the machine's lid or top cover. [arrow-right]
Using Your Machine
Instructions for operating the Numatic HENRY 160-11.
Operation:
- Locate the 'Start' switch to turn the machine on.
- The 'Power On Indicator Light' will illuminate when the machine is powered.
- Adjust the suction power using the control dial or buttons, typically indicated by 'Low' and 'High' settings. [arrow-up] [arrow-down]
- Use the floor tool with the appropriate suction setting for the surface being cleaned.
- The floor tool can be maneuvered forward and backward across the floor.
Cleaning Your Machine
Step-by-step guide for cleaning and maintaining the Numatic HENRY 160-11.
- Release the clips (1) on the side of the machine to detach the upper casing. [arrow-left]
- Lift the upper casing (2) away from the base.
- Remove the dust bag (5) from the machine.
- Remove the filter (4) from its housing.
- Dispose of the dust bag responsibly. ?️
- Clean the inside of the machine's bin.
- Clean the filter (4) if necessary, or replace it.
- Re-insert the clean filter and a new dust bag.
- Place the upper casing back onto the base and secure the clips (1, 2). [arrow-right]
- Ensure all parts are correctly fitted before operation.
Fitting and Removing the Face
Instructions for attaching and detaching the decorative face of the HENRY vacuum cleaner.
Fitting the Face:
- Align the face with the designated slots on the machine. [arrow-right]
- Gently push the face into place until it clicks or is securely fitted. [arrow-right]
Removing the Face:
- Locate the release points or clips on the face. [arrow-down]
- Gently pull or push the face to detach it from the machine. [arrow-left]
Wand Docking
A feature to store the vacuum cleaner's wand when not in use.
The wand can be docked onto the side or back of the machine for convenient storage.
Tool Tidy
Description of how accessories are stored on the machine.
The machine features integrated storage points for various tools and accessories, keeping them organized and readily accessible.
Cleaning the Floor Tool (AB 270)
Instructions for cleaning the main floor cleaning head.
The AB 270 floor tool may require periodic cleaning, especially the brush roll, to remove tangled hair or debris. This can be done by carefully removing obstructions from the brush.

MAINTENANCE
Daily:
- Keep the machine clean, including hoses and tubes.
- Ensure the dust bag and filter are fitted correctly.
- Regularly examine the power cord for any damage.
- Check the dust bag frequently and replace when full.
- Check that filters are clean.
Weekly:
- Check for any worn or damaged parts and replace them immediately.
WEEE Legislation (Waste, Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
Vacuum cleaner, accessories, and packaging should be sorted for environmentally friendly recycling. For EU Countries: Do not dispose of the vacuum cleaner into household waste. It must be collected and sent for recovery in an environmentally friendly manner, according to European Directive 2012/19/EU.

Information for DRY Use Vacuum Cleaners
WARNING:
- Read the instruction manual before using the machine.
- Operators must be adequately instructed on the use of their machine.
- Exercise care and attention during use, and ensure routine and preventative maintenance is carried out periodically for safe operation.
- Failure to carry out necessary maintenance, including part replacement to the correct standard, could render the equipment unsafe. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility in this respect.
- Maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified person.
- This machine is for DRY USE only and must not be stored outside or used in wet conditions.
- Disconnect the machine from the mains by removing the plug from the supply socket during cleaning, maintenance, or when replacing parts.
- Only use the socket outlet on the machine for specified purposes (if fitted).
- This machine is not to be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge.
- This appliance is intended to be cleaned and maintained by an adult.
- Children being supervised are not to play with the machine.
- This machine is not a toy.
- This machine is not suitable for picking up hazardous or explosive dust. Contact your local distributor if you require a machine capable of performing these tasks.
CAUTION:
- Ensure that the filtration system fitted to the machine is suitable for the material being collected.
- This vacuum cleaner is intended for indoor use in the collection of dry materials.
- This machine should be stored indoors only.
NOTES:
- The primary use for this machine is commercial, for example in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, and offices.
- This product complies with the requirements of clause 20 of IEC/EN 60335-2-69 Stability and Mechanical Hazards.
- This vacuum cleaner is fitted with a thermal protection device. If it stops working, remove the plug from the wall before investigating the fault.
- If the vacuum cleaner has a blockage: switch off, remove the plug, inspect the floor tool, tubes, and hose for debris. If clear, replace the dust bag and clean the filter.
- The vacuum cleaner should be inspected after use for damage.
- The vacuum cleaner should be stored in a dry place.
- When moving the machine, consider its weight.
DO:
- Keep your machine clean, including hoses and tubes.
- Change the dust bag frequently.
- Keep filters clean.
- Keep the diffuser filter (where fitted) clean.
- Use filter bags; they enhance performance and help keep the machine clean.
- Use a Numatic Original filter bag under fine dust conditions.
- Keep hoses and tubes clear.
- Replace any worn or damaged parts immediately.
- Only use the brushes provided with the machine. Using other brushes may impair safety.
- Regularly examine the power cord. If damage is found (cracking or ageing), the power cord must be replaced by a qualified person.
- Only replace the power cord with the correct Numatic-approved replacement part.
DO NOT:
- Pull on the cable to unplug the machine from the power supply.
- Use to suck up hot ashes or lighted cigarette ends.
- Use steam cleaners or pressure washers to clean the machine, or use it in the rain.
- Immerse the machine in water for cleaning.
- Attempt machine maintenance or cleaning unless the power supply plug has been removed from the supply outlet.
- Use in wet environments or to collect wet materials.
- Under any circumstances, place foreign objects (including air fresheners, capsules, or scented beads) into the top filter of the machine. This can be dangerous and risk damage to the machine, potentially invalidating the warranty.

Numatic International Limited warrants to the original purchaser that its products are free of defects in material or workmanship for the periods specified below:
- Homecare and Cleancare Vacuum cleaners: 2 Years
- Rotary Floor Machines: 2 Years
- Twintec Auto Scrubber Dryer: 1 Year
- Vario Ride-On Scrubber Dryer: 1 Year / 1500 hours
- Mopping, Compacts, Combi and Servocare Products: 1 Year
- Individual Accessories and Spare Parts: 6 Months
Note: This warranty expressly excludes consumable parts such as carbon brushes, floor brushes, mops, batteries, etc., which are considered replaceable during the normal working life of the machine.
Using non-Numatic dustbags can be detrimental to machine performance and life, and may invalidate the warranty.
Warranty Claim Procedure:
- A. The warranty period commences from the date of purchase.
- B. All warranty claims must be processed through the dealer from whom the equipment was purchased. The dealer will assist the purchaser and arrange necessary repairs using genuine Numatic parts.
- C. If the original dealer is unable to fulfill obligations, contact Numatic International Limited with full claim details and proof of purchase.
- D. Any warranty claim relates only to the specific part proven to be at fault; replacement does not extend to the entire machine.
- E. Numatic International will supply the dealer with necessary warranty parts, subject to claim validation and return of faulty items.
- F. Claims will not be accepted for fair wear and tear, misuse, or abuse.
- G. Replacement requires valid proof of claim.
- H. Numatic International Limited reserves the right to charge for unnecessary work on invalid claims.
- I. No variation to this warranty is valid unless in writing and authorized by the Company.
