Important Information

Battery

The battery installed in your watch at the time of purchase is a factory setting and should be replaced when it shows the first signs of insufficient power (e.g., backlight not turning on, dim display) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by water resistance rating (from I to V) according to their degree of protection. Please refer to the table below to determine your watch's rating for proper operation.

RatingMarking on CaseSplashes, Rain, etc.Swimming, Washing Car, etc.Underwater Swimming, Diving, etc.Scuba Diving
IWATER RESISTANTYesNoNoNo
III50M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNoNo
IV100M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesNo
V200M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes
300M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYesYes

Notes for Water Resistance Ratings

  • I: The watch is not water-resistant. Avoid any contact with moisture.
  • II: Do not pull out the crown if the watch is wet.
  • III: Do not press the watch buttons underwater.
  • IV: If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
  • V: The watch can be used for scuba diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).

Some water-resistant watches feature leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity where the strap may be submerged in water.

Watch Care

  • Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.
  • The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
  • If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
  • Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
  • While the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping it.
  • Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should be able to fit between your wrist and the strap.
  • To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile agents such as gasoline, solvents, aerosol cleaners, etc.
  • When not using the watch, store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid exposure to gasoline, cleaning solvents, aerosol sprays, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
  • Some models feature silk-screened designs on the strap. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.

For Watches with Plastic Straps...

  • You may notice a whitish powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
  • Sweat or moisture on a plastic strap, or storage in high humidity, can cause damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.

For Watches with Fluorescent Cases and Straps...

  • Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade.
  • Extended contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
  • Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause the fluorescent color to fade. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
  • Rubbing a surface with applied fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
