Important Information

Battery

The battery installed in your watch is a factory-supplied unit that requires replacement when its power runs low (indicated by a dim display or no backlight). Consult your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor for replacement.

Water Resistance

Watches are classified by their water resistance rating (from I to V) according to the table below. Ensure you understand your watch's rating for proper use.

Case MarkingSplash/WashSwimming/Light Water ActivitiesDiving/Scuba Diving
INoNoNo
II WATER RESISTANTYesNoNo
III 50M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNo
IV 100M WATER RESISTANTYesYesNo
V 200M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes
300M WATER RESISTANTYesYesYes

Notes for Corresponding Ratings:

  • Watches are not water resistant. Avoid any moisture.
  • Do not pull out the crown if the watch is wet.
  • Do not press watch buttons underwater.
  • If your watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
  • This watch can be used for skin diving (excluding depths requiring helium-oxygen mixtures).
  • Some water-resistant watches feature leather bands. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in other activities where the band may get wet.

Care of Your Watch

Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself.

The gasket that seals the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.

If water enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.

Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.

While designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and dropping the watch.

Do not fasten the band too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the band.

Clean the watch and band using a dry, soft cloth, or a soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of water and neutral detergent. Never use volatile solvents (e.g., benzine, thinners, spray cleaners, etc.).

When not wearing your watch, store it in a dry place.

Avoid contact with benzine, cleaning solvents, spray cleaners, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions with these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.

Some models feature silk-screened designs on their bands. Be careful when cleaning these bands to avoid damaging the designs.

For watches with resin bands...

You may notice a white powdery substance on the band. This substance is harmless to your skin and clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.

Exposure of the resin band to sweat or moisture, or storing it in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, breakage, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the resin band, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.

For watches with fluorescent cases and bands...

Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to fade.

Prolonged contact with moisture may cause the fluorescent color to fade. Wipe off any moisture from the watch surface as soon as possible.

Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause the fluorescent color to fade. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.

Rubbing a surface with fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.

CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch, nor does it accept claims from third parties.

  • Do not wear the watch on the inside of your wrist. This can cause the auto-light function to activate accidentally, reducing battery life.
  • Do not read the watch while climbing mountains or in other hazardous locations where it is dark. This is dangerous and may lead to injury.
  • Do not read the watch while walking along roads or near traffic. This is risky and may lead to accidents.
  • Do not read the watch while riding a bicycle, motorcycle, or driving a car. This is dangerous and may lead to accidents.
