Technical Information

The appliance features:

Technical data is indicated on the appliance.

First Use

Before using the device for the first time, operate it while empty (for about 2 minutes, until the green light turns off) in a well-ventilated area to eliminate any odours and fumes due to possible residual traces from production on the internal parts of the device.

Remove the plug from the power outlet and let the device cool down.

Note: When the device is used for the first time, some smoke may be visible. This is normal due to the initial heating of the internal components.

Clean the plates as specified in the MAINTENANCE section.

Toasted Sandwich

Lightly coat the heating plates with a little butter or cooking oil.

Insert the plug into the mains socket. The red power light will come on. ?

Prepare the bread and fill the sandwich while the appliance is pre-heating.

Wait until the green light comes on. The appliance has reached the correct temperature for use. ?

Place the slices of bread on the lower heating plate, add your filling, and cover with the second slices of bread. For an optimal result, the filling should be contained within the edges of the bread slices.

Carefully lower the upper heating plate onto the bread until the appliance is fully clamped shut.

Open the appliance after 3-5 minutes and check whether the toasted sandwich is sufficiently 'golden'. The cooking time required to obtain crispy sandwiches depends on the type of bread, the filling, and your personal taste.

Use a non-metallic tool (e.g., a wooden spatula) to remove the toasted sandwich. Do not use sharp or abrasive kitchen tools.

Disconnect the appliance from the mains socket.

Note: During cooking, the green light turns on and off to keep the device at the correct temperature.

Waffle

Insert the mains plug into the wall socket. The red power light will come on. ?

Prepare the batter as indicated in the “WAFFLES RECIPE" paragraph. Preheat the appliance before using it.

Wait until the green light comes on. The appliance has reached the correct temperature for use. ?

Pour the batter, carefully lower the upper cooking plate until the appliance is closed tightly.

The cooking time depends on the variations in the waffles recipe.

Slowly open the cover and check the cooking after 3-5 minutes; once each waffle is cooked, use a non-metallic utensil (for example, wooden spatula) to remove it. Do not use sharp or abrasive kitchen utensils.

If you want to cook another portion, close the lid and let the appliance heat up.

When the green light comes on, you can pour the batter for the next waffle.

After use, disconnect the appliance from the socket.

Note: During the cooking process, the green indicator light turns on and off to maintain the appliance at the correct temperature.

Waffle Recipe

INGREDIENTS (for about 10 waffles):

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate the yolks from the whites and then beat the egg whites to stiff peaks with an electric beater.
  2. In a bowl, beat the two egg yolks with the sugar and vanilla extract. Add the melted butter and stir.
  3. Add the flour and baking powder and, continuing to stir, slowly pour in the milk.
  4. At this point, also add the stiff egg whites.
  5. Let the batter rest for a few minutes while the plate heats up.
  6. Pour some of the batter onto the plate and cook for about 5 minutes.

Removing the Plates

Upper plate: Insert the plate in the guides located on the lower part; press the upper part of the plate until you hear it click.
