Ardes AR5PL92 Ceiling Fan

Instructions for Use

This booklet contains important instructions for the safe installation, use, and maintenance of the Ardes AR5PL92 ceiling fan. Please read carefully and keep for future reference.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the associated hazards. Children should not play with the appliance, and cleaning/maintenance should not be performed by unsupervised children.

Installation must be carried out by professionally qualified personnel. The appliance must be installed in a fixed manner, with mains power supply via a flexible cable with a plug or an omnipolar switch ensuring complete disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions. The contact opening distance must not be less than 3 mm.

The appliance must be installed at least 2.3 meters from the floor (measured from the floor to the lower part of the fan). The outermost edge of the blades must be at least 0.76 meters away from the wall.

The appliance operates at 50Hz or 60Hz without adjustments.

CAUTION: When the appliance is connected to the power supply, do not touch the rotating blades and keep away from them.

The appliance is intended for internal use only; do not use outdoors.

Keep the warranty, receipt, and instruction booklet for further reference.

Remote Control Functions:

• A: Fan and light off.
• B: Light On/Off (does not affect the ventilation part).
• C: Quickly change the color temperature of the LEDs (warm, natural, and cold light).
• D: Warm light: Gradually switch from cool light to warm light.
• E: Cool light: Gradually switch from warm light to cool light.
• F: Increase brightness.
• G: Reduce brightness.
• H: Delayed fan shutdown after 1 hour.
• I: Delayed fan shutdown after 2 hours.
• L: Fan OFF (does not affect the lighting part).
• M: Ventilation speed selectable on 6 levels.
• N: Winter/Summer button. Blades must not be rotating when switching between modes.
• O: Natural Breeze mode simulates natural breeze by alternating ventilation speeds.
• P: Activate/deactivate the “beep” sound for command confirmation.

Battery Information:

The remote control is supplied without batteries. Insert two AAA batteries, respecting the indicated polarities. To remove batteries, open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.

Radio Frequency Specifications:

Nominal frequency: 433.96 MHz. Maximum transmitted power: < -8 dBm. The AR5PL92 radio equipment complies with Directive 2014/53/EU. The full EU declaration of conformity is available at www.ardes.it.

Maintenance:

Before cleaning, turn off the fan and disconnect it from the electrical power supply. Use a soft, dry cloth for external cleaning. Do not immerse the fan in water, spray with liquids, or use solvents or chemicals for cleaning.

Disposal:

Packaging: Dispose of packaging materials in accordance with separate collection and local regulations to protect the environment.

User Information (WEEE): The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicates that this product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its service life. Take the equipment to suitable separate collection centers for electrical and electronic waste. Proper collection helps prevent environmental damage and encourages recycling.

Batteries: Remove batteries before disposal. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste. Dispose of batteries in designated containers or at designated collection points. Follow instructions for removal.

Installation

Package Contents:

After removing packaging, check for damage. If in doubt, contact qualified personnel. Keep packaging elements away from children.

Installation Steps:

1. Depending on ceiling type (wood or concrete), drill holes and use supplied plugs (8) to fix the support (2) to the ceiling (refer to diagram 1.1).
2. Remove the support nut and cotter pin from the bottom of the bracket (3). Slide the bracket (3) into the upper (1) and lower (4) caps (1.2).
3. Pass electrical cables from the motor through the bracket and secure the rod with the support nut and cotter pin (1.3).
4. Lift the fan and install the bracket (3) to the mounting bracket (2). Rotate the bracket so the groove on the rod (3) matches the tooth on the mounting bracket (2). Make electrical connections and position the receiver as shown in diagram 1.4.
5. Slide the upper cap (1.5) upwards and fix it to the support (1.6).
6. Fix the ceiling light to the bottom of the fan (1.7).

If you observe unusual oscillating motion during operation, turn off the product immediately and contact service.

Limited Warranty

Poly Pool S.p.A. provides a Limited Warranty for Ardes-branded products under the terms and conditions specified. This warranty covers products in their original configuration, including accessories, but not consumable parts like batteries or bulbs.

Consumer rights under national legislation (Legal Warranty) are unaffected by this Limited Warranty.

Purpose of Warranty:

If a product defect due to manufacturing is ascertained, Poly Pool S.p.A. will repair or replace the product or its components at its discretion.

Cases of Exclusion of Warranty:

The Limited Warranty does not cover defects caused by:

• Installation errors due to negligence or carelessness.
• Failure to comply with instructions and warnings in manuals.
• Improper maintenance.
• Poor storage.
• Tampering, modifications, or unauthorized repairs.
• Improper use not in accordance with intended use.
• Aggravated damage from continued use after a malfunction is apparent.
• External factors not attributable to Poly Pool S.p.A.
• Counterfeited or erased model/serial numbers.
• Loss of performance or appearance not affecting essential features.

Clear defects recognizable upon delivery and deterioration due to normal wear and tear are also excluded.

The warranty is void if defects are caused by third-party products or components connected to or used with the product.

Warranty Claim Request:

For support, contact customer support at ardes@polypool.it. For Italy, San Marino, and Vatican City, contact the nearest Authorized Technical Support Centre. Contact details are on www.ardes.it.

To activate the Limited Warranty, the customer must possess a sales receipt and/or purchase invoice and/or delivery note. Poly Pool S.p.A. reserves the right to refuse warranty service if these documents are not provided.

Duration:

The warranty period is 2 years from the date of purchase (or delivery at the latest). Replacement does not renew or extend the warranty period.

Regional Scope:

This warranty is valid only for services rendered within the European Union, Vatican City, or San Marino.

Technical Information

The product contains a light source of energy efficiency class F. The light source can only be replaced by qualified personnel with equivalent characteristics.
