Use and Positioning
Place the product so that it is exposed to full sunlight for at least 6 hours per day. Placement in shade will result in poorer battery charging and reduced lighting time. Do not place the product near strong light sources, such as street lighting, as this may cause the product to switch off automatically.
First Time Use
Set the switch to the ON position. On some models, a protective paper must also be removed from the battery. The product is automatically controlled by a light sensor. At sunset, the product automatically turns on and operates using the energy stored in the battery.
NOTE: Even if the battery is fully charged at the factory, the voltage may have dropped upon delivery. Therefore, the battery should be fully charged before the product is put into use. Place the product under an artificial light source for 24 hours with the switch in the OFF position. This charging procedure can ideally be repeated regularly during the winter months when daylight is often insufficient to fully charge the battery.
User Tips
- The product is controlled by ambient light and is designed to turn on after sunset. If there are strong light sources nearby, the product may shine less brightly or not at all.
- Keep the solar panels clean. Dirt on the panel surface obstructs light and impairs charging.
- Expected lighting time: Summer: 6 to 8 hours. Winter: 1 to 4 hours.
Maintenance
- Avoid scratching the surface of the solar panel and keep it free from dust and debris.
- Wipe the solar lamp with a soft, damp cloth if necessary.
Environmental Care
Recycle discarded products in accordance with local regulations.
