Solar Cell Powered Operation
The product runs on solar energy via the built-in solar panel. The solar panel converts solar energy to electrical energy, which is used to charge the rechargeable NiMH battery.
NOTE: The built-in battery is NOT replaceable.
The light switches on automatically when it goes dark and switches off in daylight. The duration of illumination depends on how long the solar panel has been exposed to sunlight. Longer exposure to sunlight provides longer lighting time. For optimal performance, place the product where it receives maximum sunlight exposure for charging. With maximum sunlight exposure, the light will shine for up to 8 hours.
Use and Handling
- Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
- Turn the lamp shade (1) clockwise and remove it. (See Figure 2)
- Start the product with the power switch (2). (See Figure 2)
- Place the product in the desired location. (See Figure 3)
Important Notes
- Keep sharp objects away from the surface of the solar panel to prevent scratching and damage.
- To check functionality, cover the top of the solar panel – the light should turn on if the product is powered.
- The LED light is difficult to see in bright ambient light. The product functions best in darkness. This does not indicate a malfunction.
- For optimal performance, allow the product to charge for a full day before the first use.
