Getting Started: Unpacking and Setup
This guide provides essential steps for setting up your Philips 8500 Series television. Please follow these instructions carefully.
Unpacking: Carefully remove the television and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure all components are present before proceeding.
Stand Assembly: For tabletop placement, attach the stand components. The stand typically consists of two parts, often labeled 'L' and 'R'. Use the provided screws (typically 6 screws, marked 'x6') to secure the stand to the base of the TV. Ensure the correct screws are used for the 70" or 75" model as indicated.
Wall Mounting: If you prefer wall mounting, ensure you use a VESA-compatible wall mount. The 8500 series supports VESA mounting patterns, commonly 300x300mm with M8 screws. The screw length should be between 12mm and 25mm, depending on the mount and TV back. Refer to the specific wall mount instructions for secure installation. The TV can be mounted at heights suitable for viewing, approximately 177 cm or 189 cm from the floor for optimal viewing angles.
