OLED706 Series

Getting Started: Unpacking and Assembly

This guide will help you set up your new Philips OLED706 series television.

What's in the box:

  • Philips Television screen
  • Stand components (base and arm)
  • Screws (e.g., 4x screws for stand attachment)
  • Remote control with batteries (2x AAA 1.5V)
  • Power cable
  • Documentation (including safety instructions)

Step 1: Prepare for Assembly

Carefully unpack all components. Place the television screen face down on a soft, clean surface, such as a blanket or the foam packaging, to prevent scratches.

Step 2: Attach the Stand

  1. Attach the stand base to the bottom of the television screen.
  2. Attach the stand arm to the back of the television screen.
  3. Secure the stand components using the provided screws (typically 4 screws). Ensure they are tightened properly.

Step 3: Position the Television

With assistance from another person, carefully lift the television and place it upright on a stable, level surface, such as a TV stand or cabinet. Ensure adequate ventilation around the TV.

Step 4: Connect Cables and Devices

  • Power: Connect the power cord to the television and then to a wall outlet.
  • Antenna/Cable: Connect your TV antenna or cable service to the TV Antenna (Coaxial) port.
  • HDMI Devices: Connect external devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, or set-top boxes to the available HDMI ports (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3/4).
  • USB Devices: Connect USB storage devices or other compatible USB accessories to the USB ports (USB 1, USB 2, USB 3).
  • Network: Connect to your home network using an Ethernet cable plugged into the NETWORK port, or configure Wi-Fi during the initial setup.

Step 5: Remote Control Setup

  1. Open the battery compartment on the remote control and insert the two AAA 1.5V batteries, observing correct polarity.
  2. Pair the remote control with the television. Typically, this involves pressing and holding the [PAIR button] or [OK button] on the remote until a pairing confirmation appears on the TV screen.

Step 6: Initial TV Setup

Turn on the television using the power button on the remote or the TV itself. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language, connect to your network, scan for channels, and set up any smart features, including Google Assistant if available.

Ambilight Feature

Your Philips TV features Ambilight, which projects colored light onto the wall behind the screen, enhancing the viewing experience. This feature can be configured in the TV's settings.
