Product Overview
The Contros Wi-Fi Smart Plug is a device designed for remote control of connected appliances via a Wi-Fi network. It features an indicator LED, a multi-functional button for ON/OFF and night light control, and ventilation holes for proper operation.
Setup Guide
Step 1: Install the Application
Download and install the e-Control application using one of the following methods:
- Method 1: Scan the QR code provided on the product packaging or in the user manual.
- Method 2: Access www.ibroadlink.com via your smartphone's web browser and download the application.
Step 2: Prepare the Device
Connect the smart plug to a power outlet. The device enters configuration mode when its indicator LED blinks rapidly, approximately 5-6 times per second.
Ensure your smartphone is connected to the Wi-Fi network you intend to use with the smart plug.
Step 3: Configure the Device
Open the e-Control application on your smartphone.
Enter the Wi-Fi password for your network.
Tap the "Configure" button. A diagram illustrates the configuration screen prompting for Wi-Fi network name and password, with a "Configure" button.
If the configuration fails, reset the device by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for over 6 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly. Then, repeat the configuration process.
Step 4: Usage
The device control panel within the e-Control app allows for management of the smart plug. A diagram shows the app's control panel.

How to perform a one-touch configuration?
Ensure your smartphone is connected to the Wi-Fi network and is within range of the smart plug. Open the e-Control app, enter your Wi-Fi password, and tap the "Configure" button. If the auto-connection method fails, press and hold the ON/OFF button to reset and reconfigure the device.
