VIMAR SMART CLIMA Thermostat
Model: 30440.x - 02970
Product Overview
The VIMAR SMART CLIMA is a rotary dial thermostat designed for precise temperature control in heating and air conditioning systems. It operates in ON/OFF mode and features white LED backlighting with adjustable brightness. The device is a Class I temperature control device with a 1% contribution, powered by 100-240 V 50/60 Hz, and occupies 2 modules in standard electrical systems. It is compatible with Linea, Eikon, Arké, and Plana cover plates, and requires a dedicated mounting frame (16723) for Idea systems.
The thermostat allows users to set the desired temperature between 4°C and 40°C using a front dial. A central white LED display shows the current measured temperature, displaying the setpoint only when the dial is adjusted. An illuminated ring around the display provides visual feedback on the thermostat's status (e.g., heating, cooling, relay active).

Operation
Users can adjust the temperature and select operating modes using the front buttons, the central display, the rotary dial, and the illuminated ring. The thermostat stores the last set temperature for each mode (heating/air conditioning), which is recalled upon subsequent selection. Settings are retained even during power failures.
Temperature Calibration
This feature is available for products with Serial Numbers (S/N) starting from 552844FAA00991. It allows for precise calibration of the measured temperature for both heating and air conditioning modes. Users can set an offset from -5°C to +5°C (default 0°C) for each mode independently.
Calibration Procedure:
- With the thermostat ON, press the button for 5 seconds. The LEDs will turn solid yellow, indicating entry into the calibration phase.
- Rotate the dial clockwise or anti-clockwise to adjust the temperature offset (default is 0).
- After 2 seconds of inactivity, the thermostat saves the set offset value and returns to the main screen.
Note: Two different offset values can be set, one for heating and one for air conditioning.
Installation Rules
- Installation and configuration must be performed by qualified personnel, adhering to local electrical installation regulations.
- The C-NO relay contact must be protected against overvoltages with a device (fuse or circuit breaker) rated at 10 A or less.
- Do not connect a SELV circuit to the C-NO terminals, as there is no double insulation relative to the L-N terminals.
- The device should be installed in flush or surface mounting boxes at a height of 1.5 meters from the floor. Position it for accurate room temperature detection, avoiding recesses, areas behind doors/curtains, heat sources, forced ventilation drafts, or atmospheric influences. Avoid installation on perimeter walls or near heat-generating devices (e.g., dimmers, lamps).

Diagram Descriptions
Front View
Depicts the thermostat's front panel:
- A (Display): Shows the current temperature in °C or °F.
- B (Dial): Used to increase (clockwise) or decrease (anti-clockwise) the temperature setpoint.
- C (Illuminated Ring): Provides visual status indication. It can be solid amber for heating mode with relay active, solid blue for air conditioning mode with relay active, or off when the thermostat is off. It also indicates relay status (amber/blue, not active) and can be used for display brightness adjustment.
- Buttons: Include a power symbol (ON/OFF) and potentially others for mode selection or settings.
Illuminated Ring Status
The ring's color indicates the operating mode:
