SMART AUTOMATION BY-ME PLUS 32042.x
The Smart Automation By-Me Plus device (model 32042.x) is a command unit for home automation systems, functioning as a thermostat for ambient temperature control (heating and air conditioning). It supports 2- and 4-pipe systems, fan coil units with 3 speeds and proportional control. It can interface with the 01466.1 proportional analog output actuator to create a modulating room thermostat (Class V, 3% contribution). The device also includes hygrostat functionality with On/Off control based on a preset parameter, and VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) sensor functionality with On/Off control or recall of 2 scenarios. It features 2 configurable buttons as a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switch with status LED, and a central LED matrix for custom symbol display or animation. A proximity function is also included, with white LED backlighting. The unit occupies 2 front modules.
Integrated Sensors
- Thermostat (T): Manages thermal regulation in 2- or 4-pipe systems. Features a boost function for faster thermal comfort. Displays ambient temperature, setpoint, or delta. Can be configured to integrate third-party KNX interfaces for split/VRV HVAC systems. Includes amber/white LED for heating and blue/white LED for cooling.
- Hygrostat (H): Displays current humidity levels and sends On/Off commands based on preset humidity thresholds. Can be used to control ventilation and dew point in conjunction with temperature and VRV systems.
- VOC Sensor: Displays air quality and sends On/Off commands or recalls scenarios based on air quality changes. Works with temperature and humidity to manage ventilation for improved air quality.
- Proximity Sensor: Activates the multi-sensor when a hand approaches within a defined distance, transmitting information to other commands on the same electrified XT support. Standby time is configurable.
Operating Modes
- Mode 1 - "Thermostat": Local control for ON/OFF and setpoint adjustment. Interface can be locked. Displays temperature and setpoint. Can modify heating/cooling mode, fan speed, Celsius/Fahrenheit, and On/Off via external controls.
- Mode 2 "Push-button/SPDT command with thermostat probe": Configurable as 2 push-buttons or 1 SPDT switch. Central LED matrix can display custom symbols or alarms. Temperature, humidity, and VOC values are displayed via the View app or touch screens.
- Mode 3 "Sensor Display": Displays T, H, and VOC values. Functions as a simple display for current temperature. Buttons allow scrolling through temperature, humidity, and air quality values from remote sensors.
- Mode 4 "VRV System Control": Controls VRV systems via KNX gateway. Similar functionality to Mode 1 regarding local control and display.
- Mode 5 "Push-button/SPDT command with thermostat probe for split/VRV integration": Similar to Mode 2 but for split/VRV integration, controllable via the View app.

Configuration with View Pro App
The View Pro app allows configuration of chronoprograms (time and temperature levels), setpoints for all operating modes (Manual, Reduction, Absence, Protection), and temporary manual operation duration (0.5 to 23.5 hours). For complete information, consult the manuals available on the Vimar website.
Installation Guidelines
- Installation must be performed by qualified technicians according to current electrical installation regulations.
- Install the device on electrified XT supports: 2 modules (art. 32602.x), 3 modules (art. 32603.x), or 4 modules (art. 32604.x and 32614.x).
- For optimal temperature and humidity measurement, install the device as far right as possible on the XT support. If this is not possible, an offset value may be needed for temperature adjustment, though accuracy is not guaranteed.
- Install the device at 1.5 m from the floor in a position allowing correct ambient temperature measurement, avoiding niches, areas behind doors/curtains, heat sources, or forced ventilation flows. Avoid installation on perimeter walls or near heat-generating devices.
- To optimize proximity sensor function, it is recommended to have only one active proximity sensor per activation point.
- Avoid installing two or more commands with active proximity sensors facing each other if the distance is less than 4 meters.
- Avoid installing a button with an active proximity sensor in front of a device with an infrared receiver to prevent interference.
Conformity
The device complies with Low Voltage Directive (BT), EMC Directive, and RoHS Directive. It meets standards EN 60730-2-9, EN 50491-2, EN IEC 63044, EN IEC 63000. It also complies with the Temperature Control Devices Regulation (EU) No 811/2013 and REACH Regulation (EU) No 1907/2006 (Article 33), noting that the product may contain traces of lead.
